There usually isn’t a physical Print button on a Samsung tablet. Open the content you want to print, then look in the app’s Share menu, More options (often shown as three dots), or its own menu for Print. The available route depends on the app, and some apps do not support printing.
Where is the Print command?
- Open the document, photo, webpage, email, or other item in the app that displays it.
- Check Share > Print. If Print is not there, open More options or the app’s own menu. Some apps, including Word, use their own print command. Samsung’s Galaxy printing guidance and Google’s Android Help both note that printing routes depend on the app.
- When print preview appears, tap Select printer and choose a printer. If it is missing, open All printers and allow the tablet to scan. Make sure the printer is on; follow its own instructions for the connection and discovery method.
- Use the settings available in the preview to adjust options such as paper size, color, or orientation, then tap the Print icon. Settings vary by printer.
Why can’t I see Print in the app?
Not every app supports printing. Try its Share menu, More options, and app-specific menu before concluding that printing is unavailable. If none offers Print, Google suggests printing a screenshot instead; capture the relevant screen and open the screenshot in an app that supports printing.

Where are printing settings on a Galaxy Tab?
Start in the Settings app and search for Printing. Samsung presents Settings search as a general way to find the print-service controls. On many tablets, the controls are under Settings > Connections > More connection settings > Printing, but labels and placement vary by model and software version. Android’s general route may instead appear as Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Printing. The underlying print-service function is similar, but the menu names can differ between Android devices.

What to check when the printer is not listed
- Check the print service. In Settings, search for Printing. Turn on Default Print Service if it supports your printer, or use Download plugin to find a service recommended for that printer. A plugin is not a guarantee of compatibility with every model.
- Check the connection. For wireless printing, configure the printer for the network or discovery method it supports. Samsung notes that some printers may not be supported; its U.S. guidance also mentions Bluetooth being enabled during printer discovery. Follow the instructions for your actual printer and print service.
- Try a supported setup method. Samsung documents manual setup by IP address for some compatible printers. The steps and availability depend on the printer and service.
- Consider USB only when supported. Samsung describes connecting some printers with a USB OTG adapter and an appropriate cable. Confirm that the tablet’s port and printer support this connection before buying an adapter.
Can you save the printout as a PDF?
Yes. In the printer-selection screen, choose Save as PDF, then select a save location. This creates a digital copy rather than sending the job to a physical printer.

Google Cloud Print is discontinued; Google says support ended on January 1, 2021. Use a print service available on the tablet and compatible with the printer instead.
