They differ in who can apply, what they provide, and what work they require—so check the individual offer before accepting it.
Legitimate places to look
BzzAgent: campaign-based product sampling
BzzAgent matches participants to limited-time campaigns for products relevant to their profiles. Keep your profile current, watch for email invitations, and apply when invited. Campaigns are selective and product-specific; BzzAgent does not guarantee a particular number of invitations. Its terms name the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada excluding Quebec, and require participants to be at least 18 or the age of majority where they live. Participants must give honest opinions based on personal experience and clearly disclose free samples or other relevant connections under the participant agreement and disclosure guidance.

Influenster: surveys, invitations, and product programs
Influenster says members may qualify through a pre-survey or receive an invitation based on profile information, connected social accounts, and platform activity such as reviews. A product might arrive free, or be provided through a coupon or gift code; some offers may require out-of-pocket payment. Read the specific offer for costs, required tasks, deadlines, and review requirements before opting in. Influenster says tasks become mandatory after opting in, and some programs cannot be exited once claimed. Its terms require disclosure when complimentary products are tested in external reviews or posts.
Samsung Knox: professional user-experience studies
Samsung Knox’s user-experience research panel is aimed at IT professionals and business people; the page says participants do not need to be Knox customers. If a member matches a study, Samsung may contact them, and they can accept or decline. Sessions may take place by phone, online, or at an office. The documentation says studies are conducted in English and many offer an e-gift card, with the incentive explained before a participant decides. The page was last updated July 26, 2023, so check whether recruitment remains open. This is professional research, not a promise of a free retail phone.

Samsung Canada #TeamSamsung: a creator partnership
Samsung Canada’s #TeamSamsung is a creator opportunity, not an open testing panel. The application described by Samsung includes contact details and an unlisted YouTube audition. Selected creators represent Samsung online and receive devices for content creation under a contract; the page describes an average commitment of one content item per week during the contracted tenure. Listed benefits include Samsung tech and devices and event access. Confirm applications are open and review the contract’s deliverables and terms before applying.
Compare the offer before you apply
“Testing” can mean receiving a sample, completing a professional research session, or creating sponsored content. Those arrangements are not interchangeable. Use the offer’s own terms to check:
- Eligibility: location, age, professional background, and any social-media or profile requirements.
- Selection: whether you apply through a profile, survey, invitation, or audition—and whether selection is guaranteed. It generally is not.
- What you receive: a free sample, coupon or gift code, research incentive, or creator device. Confirm whether a device is yours to keep, must be returned, or is supplied for content creation under a contract; do not assume.
- Costs: shipping charges, required purchases, deposits, or other out-of-pocket spending. Verify any refund promise in writing.
- Work and deadlines: surveys, reviews, posts, sessions, content volume, and due dates.
- Publication and disclosure: where you must post, whether the company can reuse your content, and how you must disclose a free product or other relationship.
How to check that a program is legitimate
- Start from the company’s official site. Find the program from the brand’s own domain, then read its terms and privacy information rather than relying on a social post or an unfamiliar signup link.
- Read the exact campaign terms. Confirm what is supplied, who pays shipping, whether payment is required, what you must do, when it is due, and whether you must return the device.
- Check content rights and disclosure. Understand where a review or post must appear, whether the company may reuse it, and what disclosure is required. A legitimate review should reflect your actual experience, not a promised positive opinion.
- Walk away from suspicious payment or access requests. A guaranteed high-value phone for a small upfront fee, payment through gift cards or cryptocurrency, or a request for your account password are warning signs. These are general safety checks, not claims about a specific incident involving the programs above.
Offers that are often mistaken for testing programs
A post-purchase review promotion asks existing customers to review an item they already bought; it is not the same as an invitation to test a phone before purchase. Samsung’s Australia post-purchase review campaign terms are one example of that distinct category. Samsung’s Remote Test Lab is for developers testing apps on remote devices, not a consumer program that sends participants a phone. Likewise, creator partnerships involve content obligations and should not be treated as a no-strings sample.

What to expect after signing up
Keep profiles accurate and invitations current, but treat each campaign as a separate decision. None of the cited programs establishes an acceptance rate, typical device value, or steady supply of phones; BzzAgent explicitly says it cannot guarantee a specific number of invitations. Availability and campaign terms can change, so verify the current official page and invitation before sharing information, paying anything, or committing to work.
