Its latest support page still lists Siri AI as unavailable on iOS and iPadOS there, so there is no confirmed month or software release to plan around. Apple’s availability information and its June announcement provide no EU iPhone or iPad launch date.
Where Siri AI is available in the EU
Apple’s September 22 support page distinguishes Siri AI from Apple Intelligence generally. In the EU, Siri AI is currently unavailable on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS. Apple says other next-generation Apple Intelligence features across apps are available on supported iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 devices in the EU, but that does not include Siri AI. Apple’s platform availability page and its Siri AI requirements list the exclusions.

The restriction is not universal across Apple devices. EU users can access Siri AI on supported Macs and Apple Vision Pro, subject to Apple’s software, account-region and language requirements. Apple says watchOS access requires a paired iPhone with Siri AI enabled, which is why watchOS is also listed as unavailable in the EU.

Why Apple has not given an EU launch date
Apple said on June 8, 2026, that EU regulators had not accepted its proposed solutions for bringing Siri AI to the region while allowing support for other virtual assistants. Apple argued that the Digital Markets Act (DMA) could require third-party assistants to access users’ private data and control other apps. It said its proposed intermediary, Trusted System Agent, would protect privacy and security. Those are Apple’s arguments, not an agreed interpretation of the law. Apple’s June announcement also said Siri AI would not ship in the EU with iOS 27 or iPadOS 27.

The European Commission disputed Apple’s account. On June 9, 2026, Commission spokesperson Thomas Regnier told the Associated Press: “The decision not to roll out Siri AI in the EU is Apple’s and Apple’s only because absolutely nothing in the DMA prohibits Apple from introducing new products in the EU.” AP reported that Apple said regulators rejected a proposed gradual 18-month rollout; the Commission rejected Apple’s explanation. The Commission’s March 19, 2025 DMA guidance addresses iOS interoperability requirements for third-party connected devices and future requests. It is relevant regulatory context, but it is not a ruling about Siri AI specifically. European Commission guidance

What EU users can use instead today
Supported Mac
Apple lists a Mac with M1 or later running macOS 27 Golden Gate as eligible. For EU access, the Apple Account region must be set to an EU country, and both the device language and Siri language must be English. Check the exact Mac and software against Apple’s current requirements before relying on compatibility; an eligible Mac you already own may be enough.

Apple Vision Pro
Apple also lists Vision Pro running visionOS 27 for EU access, with the required English language settings and an Apple Account region in the EU. Siri AI is currently available in English according to Apple’s support information. Availability and language details

iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
Buying a newer iPhone does not remove the current EU iOS restriction: Apple lists Siri AI as unavailable on iOS and iPadOS in the region. Apple Watch access depends on a paired iPhone with Siri AI enabled, so it is not a separate route around that limitation.

Apple describes Siri AI as offering personal-context understanding, awareness of what is onscreen, actions across apps, broader world knowledge and a dedicated app for conversation history. Apple also announced expanded Visual Intelligence, integrated writing tools and a Siri mode in Camera. Its June announcement said the user beta would arrive later in 2026 and that language support would expand beyond English; its current support page still says Siri AI is available in English. None of those statements announces an EU iPhone or iPad date. Apple’s feature announcement
