If by “next Steam sale” you mean the next seasonal sale, Steam lists its Winter Sale for December 17, 2026–January 4, 2027.
What is Steam Cooking Fest?
Steam describes Cooking Fest as covering “Games about cooking, feeding people, and everything in between.” The event is a themed Fest: it spotlights a category of games rather than serving as one of Steam’s seasonal sales.

Steam says themed Fests prioritize discounted games, while free games, titles marked Coming Soon, and games with demos may also participate. That describes the event format, not a guarantee that every cooking game will be discounted or that any particular offer will appear in 2026.
What offers should you expect?
Steam’s 2024 Cooking Fest announcement described a week of discounts and demos on cooking-themed games. That is useful context for the event, but it does not confirm the offers or participating games for the 2026 edition. Check the live Steam event page when it opens for the current selection.

The 2024 announcement cited restaurant and food-truck management, grilling, time-pressured line cooking, and cooking monsters as examples. Those examples are from the earlier event and should not be treated as a list of confirmed 2026 participants.
When does Cooking Fest start, and what time?
The official schedule gives the dates as October 12–19, 2026, but does not state an opening hour, closing hour, or timezone for this event. Check Steam’s event page nearer the start for the specific times rather than assuming a time based on another sale.

Is Cooking Fest the next Steam seasonal sale?
No. Cooking Fest is a themed Fest, while Steam lists its next seasonal sale—the Winter Sale—for December 17, 2026 through January 4, 2027. The Autumn Sale ran from October 1–8, 2026, so it will have ended before Cooking Fest begins. Steam’s schedule is the source for these event dates.
