Is Prime Big Deal Days the same as Prime Day?
No. Prime Day is Amazon’s summer shopping event; Prime Big Deal Days is a separate fall event. The difference matters if by “next Prime Day” you mean the next event for Prime members: that is Prime Big Deal Days in October. If you mean the next summer event specifically called Prime Day, no later date is established by Amazon’s announcements cited here.

Who can shop the event, and what deals should you expect?
Amazon says Prime Big Deal Days is exclusive to Prime members. It has announced offers across more than 35 categories, but that does not guarantee a discount on any particular product or model. Amazon’s early-deals article identifies Kindle among the categories with offers; check the live listing for the actual product, price, and availability rather than assuming a particular Kindle is discounted. Amazon says new “Today’s Big Deals” are scheduled to drop at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT during the event. These offers are limited-time and subject to availability, so the advertised schedule is not a promise that a specific item will remain in stock. Amazon’s event details

How to check offers and compare prices
- Use Amazon’s event page or app to see current offers and availability.
- Check the product page’s “Price History” feature. Amazon says it can show up to 365 days of pricing data; compare the item’s current price with its history instead of relying only on a displayed discount. Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days FAQ
- Amazon says Alexa for Shopping can set deal alerts, which may help you follow an item during the event. Confirm the alert and product details in your Amazon account.
- Before planning around membership or an offer, verify the current terms on Amazon: prices, eligibility, trial availability, and product deals can change.
Amazon’s September 2026 announcement listed U.S. Prime membership at $14.99 per month or $139 per year and said eligible customers could start a free 30-day trial. It also described discounted membership options for eligible young adults and students, and for qualifying recipients of government assistance. These are U.S. terms stated at that time, not a guarantee of current pricing or eligibility; confirm them on Amazon’s membership page. Amazon’s September 2026 announcement
