The CoRise Partnership was a 2023 collaboration between Linux Foundation Training & Certification, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and CoRise. It offered a three-course, cohort-based learning path intended to prepare learners for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam. The launch announcement described its courses and historical prices, but does not establish whether the program is available today.
What was the CoRise Partnership?
Announced on March 16, 2023, the partnership joined Linux Foundation Training & Certification and CNCF with online learning platform CoRise. Its focus was practical DevOps and Kubernetes instruction, culminating in preparation for the CKA exam. The announcement framed the initiative as a contribution toward a two-year target of preparing 50,000 qualified and certified DevOps professionals worldwide; that was a goal, not a reported result. Linux Foundation Training & Certification’s announcement and CNCF’s announcement describe the launch.

- Docker and Container Fundamentals covered Docker and container basics.
- Kubernetes: Managing Containers at Scale focused on Kubernetes management and the stated CKA preparation goal.
The launch materials presented these as a learning path, rather than competing course options. The recommended background included command-line and container experience; some programming experience was recommended but not required. The Linux Foundation announcement gives the course names and preparation guidance.

How was the training delivered?
The program was described as cohort-based and instructor-led. Learners would work on projects led by industry experts, join weekly live sessions with recorded sessions also available, interact with instructors and receive personalized AI-driven support. These are features described in the 2023 launch announcement; it does not establish whether the same format is offered now.
What did it cost at launch?
The prices below are historical terms from the March 2023 announcement, not confirmed current prices. The announcement said the first course cohort would start June 12 and last two weeks; it did not state a year for that date, so it should be read as a launch-era schedule rather than an upcoming start date.
| Launch-era option | Announced price | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| DevOps Crash Course | Free | The announcement described this as the first course. |
| Each follow-on course | $400 | Historical per-course price in the 2023 announcement. |
| CoRise annual subscription | $1,000 | Historical annual price; the announcement said it included access to more than 40 courses. |
The launch announcement and CNCF’s announcement report these terms. They do not confirm current enrollment, pricing, or country-by-country eligibility.

The available launch announcements do not establish current availability, enrollment dates, or pricing. Because the partnership announcement dates to March 16, 2023, treat its cohort schedule and prices as historical unless CoRise or Linux Foundation Training & Certification confirms them directly. The announcement described a worldwide professional target, but did not specify which countries could enroll.

What did the reported learner figures mean?
The Linux Foundation’s 2023 announcement reported that CoRise cited a 78% course completion rate and that 95% of learners said they learned skills that would help on the job. It also attributed to CoRise a 4–6% completion rate for asynchronous courses as a comparison. The announcement provides no methodology or independent validation for these figures, so they should be understood as attributed claims, not independently established benchmarks.
