What to Know About Black Flag Resynced’s Reported Post-Credits Scene

The reported Black Flag Resynced post-credits sequence is recovered cut footage, not a confirmed scene in the released game. Learn what the London sequence shows, its reported 1727 setting and why it does not prove a sequel or expansion.

Short answer: the post-credits sequence circulating in October 2026 reports is cut, unfinished footage—not a scene confirmed to appear in the released version of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Reports describe roughly one minute set in London several years after the original game, where Edward Kenway calls for help, Adéwalé answers and Miko appears. Until Ubisoft confirms otherwise, treat it as recovered development material rather than playable or established canon.

What the reported sequence actually is

The story concerns footage reportedly recovered from development, not a post-credits movie that Ubisoft has advertised for players. Insider Gaming’s October 10, 2026 report calls it cut content and describes approximately one minute of unfinished material. VGTimes followed on October 12, describing visible placeholder elements and incomplete animation.

That distinction matters because “post-credits scene” normally implies a finished sequence included in the shipped game. Nothing in the cited coverage establishes that this material can be triggered by completing the released game, choosing a particular ending or owning a specific edition. It is more precise to call it the reported cut post-credits sequence or unfinished recovered footage.

What happens in the footage, according to reports

Edward’s call for help

The reported scene takes place in London several years after the events of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Edward Kenway is said to call for help. The reports do not establish the exact wording of his message, the threat he faces or why he is in London, so those details should not be filled in from speculation.

Adéwalé answers

Adéwalé is reported to be the only person who responds. His appearance is one of the clearest story beats described by both outlets, but the footage’s unfinished state means the final staging, dialogue and character performances may never have been locked.

Miko appears

Miko is also reported to appear in connection with the British Assassin Brotherhood. Insider Gaming places the material within the wider series timeline and notes a link to Assassin’s Creed III. That is a reported narrative connection, not confirmation that the sequence represents the final version of the series’ canon.

When the scene is supposed to take place

Insider Gaming describes the footage as occurring about five years after the ending of the original game. VGTimes connects a reference to the death of King George I with a setting around 1727. The year is therefore a timeline inference from the reported footage, not an official date published by Ubisoft for this scene.

These points should not be combined into a claim that Ubisoft has officially dated a canonical sequel event. They describe how two outlets interpreted unfinished material.

Is the Black Flag Resynced post-credits scene in the game?

There is currently no cited confirmation that it is. The reports specifically characterize the material as cut or recovered footage, and neither report establishes that it shipped with Resynced. Players should therefore not expect a guaranteed scene after the credits, a hidden unlock condition or an in-game archive entry based solely on this story.

If you are checking your own copy, finish the campaign and allow the credits to run normally. If the sequence does not appear, that is consistent with the available reporting; it does not indicate that you missed a required collectible. A leak, video or file discovery can show that an asset existed during development without showing that the asset remains accessible in the retail build.

Why the unfinished state changes the interpretation

Placeholder assets are not final storytelling

VGTimes reports incomplete animation and placeholder elements. In production terms, that means the material may have been used to block out camera positions, timing or narrative intent before final performance work. Names, locations and broad plot beats can survive that process, but individual lines, character actions and even the order of shots can change.

Cut footage does not prove a planned expansion

Finding a scene can show that developers explored an idea; it cannot by itself show that an expansion, sequel or separate campaign received approval. VGTimes explicitly cautions against inferring that another game or expansion entered full development. There is no cited report establishing a green-lit project, production schedule, release plan or commercial announcement tied to this sequence.

It is not evidence of a secret playable mission

A short cinematic asset is different from a completed mission. The available descriptions do not mention level geometry, objectives, combat encounters, progression hooks or a playable build. Until Ubisoft says otherwise, the footage should be understood as a discarded narrative experiment rather than proof of a hidden chapter.

What Miko’s appearance may—and may not—mean

Miko’s reported presence is why the clip has attracted attention from series followers. Coverage connects the character with the British Assassin Brotherhood and with Assassin’s Creed III, suggesting an attempted bridge between Edward’s era and later events in the franchise timeline.

That connection remains provisional for two reasons. First, the material is described by secondary outlets rather than confirmed in an official story document. Second, unfinished footage can be removed precisely because a proposed continuity link was revised. The sequence can be useful evidence of a narrative direction Ubisoft considered without being proof that the direction remains part of the released story.

How this relates to Black Flag Resynced itself

Ubisoft describes Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced as a remake based on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The official listing names PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC as platforms and gives July 9, 2026 as the release date.

Those official product details establish what the remake is and where it is available; they do not confirm the recovered sequence. The distinction is important when reading headlines that place “Resynced” and “post-credits scene” next to each other. A remake can contain new, revised or removed material, but only an official patch note, game build or Ubisoft statement can establish what is actually included.

What players should look for in official confirmation

  • A direct Ubisoft statement: The strongest confirmation would identify the sequence and say whether it appears in the released build.
  • Official release notes: A patch or update note could document a restored cinematic, although the current reports do not cite one.
  • In-game availability: If Ubisoft confirms the scene, it should specify whether it plays automatically, requires campaign completion or is added through an update.
  • Canon wording: “Included,” “restored” and “canonical” have different meanings. A bonus video can be official without changing the series timeline.

Until one of those forms of confirmation appears, social-media claims that the scene is guaranteed, unlockable or canon should be treated as interpretation rather than established fact.

Collector’s Edition details are separate from the scene

Ubisoft lists a Collector’s Edition containing an Edward figurine, a wearable metal brooch, an exclusive SteelBook, a cloth map and other items. The same product page lists an original game soundtrack. The listing does not establish that any of those physical items unlocks the reported footage, and the available information does not verify current stock, regional availability or retailer pricing.

Common misunderstandings to avoid

“A leaked clip is the ending”

Not necessarily. A clip can come from an early build, an internal test or a discarded cinematic. The reported visual defects are a warning that it was not presentation-ready.

“Miko confirms a new sequel”

No cited report confirms a sequel. The appearance shows that developers explored a story involving Miko; it does not reveal a launch plan, title, release window or approved expansion.

“The 1727 date is official”

The date comes from VGTimes’ interpretation of a historical reference. It is useful for understanding the scene’s proposed placement, but it is not an official Ubisoft timeline entry.

“The Collector’s Edition contains extra story content”

Ubisoft’s listed contents are physical and soundtrack-related. Nothing in the listing says that the edition includes the recovered cinematic.

What is known, what is uncertain and what is not supported

Question Best-supported answer
Is there a reported sequence? Yes. Insider Gaming and VGTimes describe recovered footage of roughly one minute.
Is it confirmed in the released game? No confirmation is cited; reports call it cut or unfinished material.
Who appears? Edward Kenway, Adéwalé and Miko are reported in the sequence.
Where and when? London, about five years after the original game; VGTimes places it around 1727 by inference.
Does it announce an expansion or sequel? No. The available reporting does not establish approval or full development.
Is it final canon? Not established. Its unfinished state and secondary-source origin require caution.

Bottom line for players and series fans

The interesting discovery is not a confirmed bonus ending in Black Flag Resynced; it is evidence of a story idea that appears to have been cut before release. The reported London scene would have followed Edward’s call for help, brought in Adéwalé and featured Miko in a possible link to Assassin’s Creed III. Because the footage is unfinished and no cited source shows it in the shipped game, do not treat it as an unlockable scene, an announced expansion or settled canon. Watch for a direct Ubisoft confirmation before drawing stronger conclusions.
