Then switch to it from the keyboard while typing.
Add the Emoji keyboard in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap General, then Keyboard.
- Tap Keyboards, then Add New Keyboard.
- Choose Emoji.

Switch to Emoji while typing
In an app with the standard keyboard, tap the Emoji button or the Next Keyboard key to switch keyboards. To see the available keyboards, touch and hold that button or key, then tap the one you want.

Where to expect the keyboard
Apple describes the emoji keyboard as available in apps that use the standard keyboard, including Mail and Messages. It may not appear in every app or text field. The keyboard can also include Memoji and stickers.

If Emoji still does not appear
If adding Emoji and switching keyboards do not restore it, contact Apple Support for help. Apple’s cited keyboard guide does not specify another troubleshooting step for this issue.
