Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteFirst, prevent the agent from causing more harm: pause it or restrict the tool it used if you can do so safely. Then preserve the available records, determine what it changed and could access, and coordinate recovery with the owners of affected systems. The right controls depend on the agent product, connected service, and action; there is no universal stop button or rollback procedure.
1. Contain the activity without making the impact worse
Use the product’s pause, stop, disable, or disconnect controls to prevent further actions. If you know which tool or integration enabled the action, restricting that access may be more targeted than shutting down an entire workflow. NIST identifies interventions to constrain and monitor agent access as a security measure, while noting that agent systems can act on real-world systems and environments (NIST, January 12, 2026).

Before stopping a running workflow outright, consider what it is doing and what depends on it. An abrupt stop could interrupt a business function or leave data in an inconsistent state. Weigh the risk of allowing more activity against the disruption of stopping it, and involve the owner with authority to accept that business impact when possible.
If the agent used a service token, API key, or delegated account, revoke or rotate the credential when exposure or unintended access is plausible. Check for other credentials the agent may be able to use. For an account or service that may itself be compromised, use that service’s security controls and escalation process.

- SMART 2.5K QHD RESOLUTION — CAPTURE EVERY DETAIL — Record in crystal-clear 2560×1440 video with a 120° wide field of view. This smart camera captures license plates, package labels, and faces with clarity that standard 1080P cameras miss. Ideal for homeowners monitoring driveways, porches, and entryways where detail matters most.
- ENHANCED COLOR NIGHT VISION — SEE CLEARLY IN TOTAL DARKNESS — Industry-leading Starlight Sensor paired with a 72-lumen spotlight delivers vivid, full-color footage even in pitch black. Whether watching your backyard at midnight or checking the garage after hours, this smart indoor/outdoor camera delivers color clarity that (infrared) IR-only cameras cannot match,
- IP65 WEATHERPROOF — BUILT FOR EVERY SEASON — Rated IP65 for dust-tight, water-jet-resistant protection against rain, snow, heat, and humidity. Operates from -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C). Mount on your front porch, garage, backyard fence, or driveway post — one camera built for year-round outdoor security.
- MOTION-ACTIVATED SPOTLIGHT WITH DETERRENT SIREN — When motion is detected, the 72-lumen spotlight floods the area and the 100 dB siren sounds to deter intruders and package thieves on contact. Trigger both remotely from the Wyze app or set automated rules. Built-in active deterrence for homeowners and renters who want home security that fights back.
- AI-POWERED SMART ALERTS — On-device AI distinguishes people, packages, pets, and vehicles[XC1.1] so you receive only the notifications that matter. Ignore false alarms from passing cars or swaying branches. Perfect for pet monitoring when you’re away and package detection during delivery season.
Promptly notify the relevant organizational owner or incident-response contact if the action involved money, personal data, safety, regulated records, or an external recipient. Which contact and reporting obligations apply depends on the organization and circumstances; there is no universal reporting deadline established for every AI-agent event.
2. Preserve records before clearing or reconnecting anything
Before deleting history, resetting the agent, or reconnecting it, preserve the records available through the agent and connected services. Keep them in the organization’s approved incident process and limit access; do not collect or redistribute secrets unnecessarily.

NIST’s February 2026 concept paper raises the need for tamper-resistant, verifiable records of agent actions and intent (NCCoE concept paper). The broader incident-handling framework also emphasizes analyzing incident-related data (NIST SP 800-61 Rev. 2).

3. Establish what happened and how far it reached
Trace the action from the agent to the service or system it affected. Review connected tools and credentials, not just the visible chat: an agent’s risk depends in part on the data, applications, and permissions available to it. NIST describes access to diverse data, tools, and applications as a security challenge for agents (NIST, January 12, 2026).

- Identify precisely what was changed, sent, disclosed, purchased, published, or deleted.
- Check which services, accounts, data, and other resources the agent could reach.
- Determine whether activity continued after the first unauthorized action or detection.
- Check whether a human approval or policy control was expected, and whether it was absent, bypassed, or ineffective.
- Ask system owners whether the action affected dependent workflows or other users.
An unauthorized action is not automatically a cyberattack. It may reflect an overly broad permission, a mistaken instruction, a failed approval control, or another cause. Treat it as an incident when its impact or scope warrants investigation and coordinated containment.

Correct or reverse the change if doing so is safe and technically valid. Where necessary, restore from a known-good state, verify that the correction did not create further impact, and monitor affected systems for recurrence. Coordinate restoration with system owners: an automated rollback may be unsafe if later work depends on the changed state.

NIST’s current incident-response publication, SP 800-61 Rev. 3, embeds response and recovery in cybersecurity risk management; it does not prescribe a universal rollback procedure for AI-agent actions (NIST CSRC, April 2025). Rev. 3 supersedes the earlier Rev. 2 guide.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →5. Tighten controls before resuming autonomy
Once the cause and scope are understood, reduce the chance of a repeat before reconnecting the agent or restoring its workflow.
- Limit permissions to what the task requires and remove unused integrations.
- Review credentials and delegated accounts. Where supported, replace shared or long-lived credentials with appropriately scoped, managed access.
- Require explicit authorization or human review for consequential actions, such as sending externally, spending money, deleting data, or publishing.
- Ensure audit records can connect the agent identity, delegated human authority, and resulting action.
- Test revised controls in a low-impact setting before restoring autonomy.
- Define who can disable the workflow and who decides when it is safe to resume.
NIST’s concept paper discusses least privilege, delegated authority, human authorization, and auditability for agent identity and authorization (February 2026 concept paper). It is a concept paper, not a finalized mandatory standard. A September 2026 NIST blog also warns about risks from broad API keys and long-lived bearer tokens (NIST Cybersecurity Insights).
