If you paid for an X plan but Premium features, Grok access, or Cursor benefits remain locked, first verify the X account connected to the subscription and the exact tier you bought. Then compare that tier with the current feature list, check platform and location restrictions, and sign in again to the affected service. If the plan shown in your account should include the missing benefit, contact X subscription support through @Subscriptions.
X’s Help Center now describes “The X Subscription” as one plan covering X, Grok, and Cursor, but it does not publish a complete, service-by-service activation checklist for Grok or Cursor. The steps below separate documented entitlement checks from practical troubleshooting so you do not mistake a browser problem, a checkmark review, or an account mismatch for a failed subscription.

What the X bundle is supposed to provide
X’s current Premium FAQ describes “The X Subscription” as a plan for X, Grok, and Cursor. It also says: “Every paid plan includes X Premium benefits on the X account you connect.” That wording is important: benefits attach to the connected X account, not automatically to every account or identity you may use with related services.

The tiers are progressively inclusive. X’s feature information says Premium includes increased usage limits on Grok, while Premium+ includes SuperGrok access, higher limits on the latest Grok models, and additional features. X warns that features can differ by platform and location and may change. The official material reviewed does not spell out a universal Cursor sign-in or account-linking procedure, so do not assume that signing into Cursor with the same email will activate an entitlement.

Published starting prices and tier differences
In the X Help Center FAQ accessed in 2026, X lists these starting web prices. They are not universal quotes: local pricing, taxes, billing currency, and the purchase platform can change the amount.

X calls these “starting” prices and directs customers to check the web, iOS, or Android purchase flow for regional pricing. Existing X Premium subscribers retain their plan, price, and features until they choose to switch.
Identify the failure before changing anything
Use the symptom that matches your situation. A missing checkmark is handled differently from a missing Grok limit, and neither proves that Cursor has failed to link.

Step-by-step: verify and restore the entitlement
1. Confirm the X account that owns the subscription
Open X account settings and check the account name, handle, and email or phone details shown for the signed-in profile. Then open the subscription or Premium area and verify that a paid tier is displayed there. If you use more than one X account, switch deliberately rather than relying on a browser’s saved session.

X explicitly ties Premium benefits to the X account you connect. A charge on one account will not make another account appear subscribed. Save the receipt, transaction date, and the account handle; support will need those details if the account display is wrong.
2. Match the exact tier to the feature you expect
Read the current feature list for the tier shown in settings. Do not use a friend’s feature set or an old screenshot as the standard. Premium and Premium+ are not interchangeable: X specifically describes increased Grok usage for Premium and SuperGrok plus higher limits on the latest Grok models for Premium+.
If the feature list does not promise the item you are testing, a locked screen may be normal for that tier. If it does promise the item, continue with the account, platform, and support checks rather than buying a second subscription.

X cautions that not all features are available on every platform or in every location. Compare the web experience with the official mobile app if both are available, and check the regional price or plan description shown at the point of purchase. A feature missing only in one app may be a platform-availability issue rather than an account entitlement failure.

Do not infer worldwide availability from a feature shown in another country. X’s own wording allows availability and feature details to change over time.
4. Reauthenticate the affected service
As a practical check, sign out of the service showing the lock, close the app or browser tab, and sign back in. If the service offers an account selector, choose the identity associated with your paid access. This is a cautious troubleshooting step, not an activation procedure published by X.
The official pages reviewed do not explain exactly how Cursor links an X subscription, nor do they provide a complete Grok activation checklist. If a service presents no way to identify or refresh the X entitlement, do not guess at account-merging steps or create another paid account. Record the screen name and error text for support.
5. Treat a missing checkmark as a separate review issue
X says blue-check eligibility requires a confirmed phone number. It also says the account can be reviewed again after changes to the profile photo, display name, or username, and that review may take several business days.

Therefore, a paid account can be working while its checkmark is still under review. Avoid changing profile details repeatedly while waiting, because another change can trigger another review. This checkmark-specific process is not an explanation for every missing Grok, Cursor, or Premium feature.
6. Use browser troubleshooting only for browser symptoms
For general x.com loading, login, or settings problems, X recommends:
- Check the network connection and try a different connection if possible.
- Open X in a private or incognito browser window.
- Update the browser to a current version.
- Clear the browser cache and cookies for X.
- Temporarily disable extensions, especially those that modify scripts, privacy settings, or page content.
- Review third-party account connections in X settings and remove connections you no longer trust.
These steps diagnose access and display problems. X does not identify them as a guaranteed fix for a subscription entitlement mismatch, so escalate if the correct tier still shows no benefit after the checks above.

When to contact X subscription support
Contact @Subscriptions when the account page shows a paid tier, the current feature list says the benefit should be included, and the benefit remains unavailable after you have reauthenticated. X’s FAQ specifically directs subscribers to compare the plan with the feature list and contact support when associated benefits are missing.
Include enough information for support to distinguish an entitlement problem from a sign-in problem:
- The X handle and the email address or phone number on the account (do not post sensitive payment details publicly).
- The tier displayed in account settings and whether the purchase was made on the web, iOS, or Android.
- The purchase date, receipt or transaction identifier, and billing region.
- The exact feature that is locked, the service where it appears, and the full error message.
- The platform, app version or browser, and the troubleshooting steps already completed.
- A screenshot with payment card numbers, authentication codes, and other private data redacted.
A concise private support message can use this format:
My X account @handle shows [tier] purchased on [date/platform], but [specific feature] remains locked in [service/platform]. I confirmed I am using the connected account, compared the current tier feature list, and tried signing out/in. Region: [country]. Error text: [exact wording]. Receipt ID: [redacted or supplied securely on request].Refunds, cancellations, and app-store purchases
X says subscriptions are generally non-refundable except where required by law or in specified upgrade circumstances. If the subscription was purchased through Apple or Google, X directs customers to those stores for app-related refund and cancellation matters. That is separate from asking X to investigate a missing entitlement.

Common mistakes that prolong the problem
- Checking the wrong account: multiple saved X sessions can make a paid plan appear absent.
- Expecting every tier to include the same Grok access: X documents different limits and SuperGrok access by tier.
- Assuming a checkmark equals full activation: checkmark eligibility has its own phone-confirmation and review process.
- Assuming a web price applies everywhere: X’s figures are starting web prices; local taxes and platform pricing vary.
- Treating a browser reset as an entitlement repair: cache and extension checks help with web errors but are not a documented subscription fix.
- Inventing a Cursor linking method: the official pages reviewed do not specify one universal account-linking workflow.
- Posting receipts publicly: send transaction information through an official support channel and redact payment data.
What a successful resolution looks like
You should be able to see the paid tier on the correct X account, identify the feature in that tier’s current list, and use the relevant service on a platform and in a location where X says it is available. If those conditions are met but access is still denied, the remaining issue is an account entitlement mismatch for X to investigate—not a reason to keep purchasing plans or repeatedly changing profile details.
