Check Muse’s activity record and the seller’s order confirmation to find out whether the order is pending, confirmed, failed, or cancelled. Save the order details, then contact the seller promptly to ask whether it can correct or cancel the order. Don’t place the order again until you know what happened to the first one.
1. Check the order and payment status
Review Muse’s activity record or audit trail alongside the seller’s confirmation. Meta says users can review actions Muse has taken and plans to take (AI at Meta: Muse). Check the order number, item, quantity, shipping address, total, and transaction status.

- Pending: The transaction has not reached a confirmed outcome. Ask the seller whether it can stop or change the order.
- Confirmed: The seller accepted the order. Ask promptly whether it can still be changed or cancelled.
- Failed or cancelled: Check with the seller or payment provider if the status is unclear or a charge still appears.
Meta’s connector guidelines call for transaction systems to distinguish quoted, pending, confirmed, failed, and cancelled states, and to check status before retrying (Meta Connector guidelines). A pending status alone does not tell you whether a seller can still intervene.
2. Save the records
Keep the seller’s confirmation and receipt, the order details, the relevant Muse conversation or approval, and any messages from the seller. Meta’s connector guidance calls for transaction receipts or equivalent records (Meta Connector guidelines). These details can help the seller or payment provider identify the specific transaction.

3. Ask the seller to correct or cancel it
Use the order-help link or contact details in the confirmation, or find the seller’s support channel on its official website. Explain exactly what is wrong—for example, the item, quantity, or delivery address—and ask whether the order can be corrected or stopped before fulfillment.
If it has already shipped, ask the seller about its return and refund process. Meta says Muse can work through merchant support flows for returns and disputes with the user’s approval, but that does not guarantee a seller can change a particular order (AI at Meta: Muse for Shopping).

4. Don’t retry while the first order is uncertain
If the order is pending, or you cannot tell whether payment completed, confirm its status with the seller before submitting another order. Retrying too soon could create a duplicate purchase. Meta’s connector guidance calls for checking transaction status before retries and preventing duplicate transactions (Meta Connector guidelines).
5. Ask your payment provider about next steps
If the seller cannot resolve the issue, contact your payment provider through its official channel. Give it the order details and ask what options apply to this specific charge. The available remedies and any deadlines depend on the seller, your location, payment method, and transaction status.

Meta says eligible purchases have Link purchase protections, but its general Muse page does not give the terms for an individual order or establish that every purchase qualifies (AI at Meta: Muse). Ask the provider whether this transaction is eligible rather than assuming protection applies.

If the order was unexpected, review the activity details and Muse’s permissions, and use the support options available in the app to report the issue. Meta says users can review Muse’s actions and planned actions (AI at Meta: Muse). The cited Meta pages do not specify one universal procedure for reporting an incorrectly placed order.
