1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesStart by identifying what the activity actually is: a purchase Muse is asking you to approve, a completed order from a retailer, a recurring subscription, or an app-store charge. Meta says Muse keeps an audit trail and asks before making a purchase, but its announcement does not document a universal way to cancel a completed retailer order. For an order already placed, contact the merchant promptly; for a subscription, use the account or billing provider shown on your receipt.
First, identify the purchase or charge
Meta introduced its personal AI agent Muse on September 8, 2026. Meta says Muse shows an audit trail of actions it has taken and plans to take, and asks for approval before sensitive actions such as a purchase. Meta’s announcement does not give a screen-by-screen walkthrough or establish that the audit trail is a complete purchase ledger.

- Open Muse and look for the relevant action in its audit trail or approval request. The announcement confirms the audit trail exists but does not specify its location in the app.
- Compare the activity with the purchase confirmation or billing receipt. Note the merchant or billing provider, item or subscription, date, amount, and order or transaction reference.
- Choose the route that matches the record: respond to a pending approval, contact the retailer for a completed order, or manage a recurring charge through the account that bills it.
If Muse is asking you to approve a purchase
Review the proposed action and its details before approving it. Meta says Muse checks with the person before making a purchase. The announcement does not establish whether every pending proposal has a cancel control, how long it remains available, or the exact steps to reject it. Use the controls shown in your current approval request; do not assume a particular button or menu exists.

Contact the retailer as soon as possible using its order page or the contact details in the order confirmation. Give the merchant the order number and request cancellation. Whether the order can still be stopped depends on the seller, item, and fulfillment status. Meta’s announcement does not describe a universal Muse control for canceling a completed third-party order.

Keep the confirmation and any correspondence with the seller. If the retailer cannot cancel the order, check that seller’s terms for the next available option, such as a return; any return rights or deadlines depend on the transaction and applicable terms.

The US App Store listing for Muse from Meta describes a free app with in-app purchases and shopping and expense features. That listing does not identify the billing source for an individual charge or provide Muse-specific cancellation and refund steps.

Use the receipt to identify which provider billed you, then follow that provider’s current account instructions. Canceling a recurring subscription stops future renewals; requesting a refund is a separate action, and cancellation does not itself establish that a refund is due.

Meta’s launch announcement describes Link by Stripe checkout and protections for eligible purchases, including coverage related to damaged or lost items, price drops, and returns. Meta does not establish in that announcement that these protections automatically cancel an order or guarantee a refund. Eligibility and claim steps depend on the applicable Link and merchant terms; check those terms for the transaction in question.
