Start with the exact message on screen: a crash, a system-integrity code, a “Fatal Error: Cheat Software Detected” warning, and an account-ban notice are different problems with different next steps. A problem appearing after an update does not, by itself, prove the update caused it. Embark’s current guidance offers troubleshooting and code explanations, but does not diagnose an individual PC.
First, identify what happened

If ARC Raiders crashes or will not launch
Embark’s PC crash and launch guide was last updated September 30, 2026. Work through the steps that match your symptom, especially any displayed code, rather than changing several system settings at once.

Try the general checks first
- Confirm that your PC meets the game’s minimum requirements.
- If the crash happens in the main menu or while loading and Raider Voice (Beta) is enabled, turn it off; Embark says the beta feature may cause crashes for some players.
- Check for updated graphics, CPU, motherboard/BIOS, monitor, network, and peripheral drivers. Update DirectX and Windows; restart after installing Windows updates.
- If you use Steam, open Library → ARC Raiders → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
- If crashes continue, try disabling overlays or third-party software that may interfere.
Match the fix to the displayed code

For ongoing loading trouble beyond these checks, Embark’s older loading guide recommends restarting, updating the operating system, temporarily reducing background processes, and checking whether antivirus or firewall rules block the game or EAC. It also covers clean-boot troubleshooting and a clean reinstall. If reinstalling, do not delete the entire Embark Studios data folder if another Embark game is installed.
If you see a system-integrity code or process warning
Embark’s “System Integrity Violation and Error Codes” guide, last updated October 29, 2025, says these errors mean the system is not meeting one or more security requirements or a disallowed process has been detected. The code can narrow down what to check:

- ARAV…24 or ARAV…27: associated with required security settings being disabled.
These are code-family associations, not a diagnosis of an individual PC. Embark says it cannot provide individual detail about the cause on a specific account for security reasons.
Check security settings and background software
- Open Windows Security → Device Security and check the settings Embark names, including Core Isolation and Memory Integrity. Check Secure Boot if available, and install Windows updates.
- Close tools that modify gameplay or hardware, along with nonessential startup items. If the source is unclear, use a clean boot to identify software interference.
- If your antivirus may be interfering, add only ARC Raiders and Easy Anti-Cheat to its exceptions as directed by Embark and the antivirus vendor. Do not turn off all security software as a general fix.
- If the listed steps do not resolve the error, contact Embark Support.
Handle “Fatal Error: Cheat Software Detected” differently
Embark says this warning means a disallowed program or process is active; AutoHotkey scripts and similar tools are common examples, but not the only ones. The message should identify a relevant file path. Stop the flagged process in Task Manager before launching again. Embark warns that repeatedly trying to load the game while it remains active may lead to disciplinary action. It says the program is flagged while active, not simply because it is installed.

If you received an account-ban notice
Do not treat an explicit ban notice as a crash or integrity-code problem. Embark’s Ban and Enforcement Policy, last updated February 26, 2026, lists cheating, attempts to bypass anti-cheat, exploiting, abusive behavior, boosting or farming, account sharing or selling, and trading items for value among possible grounds for enforcement. It also warns that external software may trigger anti-cheat violations unintentionally if it interacts with the game. Bans can be temporary or permanent, and some serious violations may apply across Embark titles.

- Open ARC Raiders Support and log in with the Embark ID associated with the account.
- Click the chat bubble and choose Ban Appeals → In-Game Ban.
- Include the enforcement message and relevant context.
In its May 7, 2026 fair-play statement and September 30, 2026 anti-cheat announcement, Embark says a person is involved in the appeals process; it also notes that replies may use pre-written responses. This describes the studio’s stated process, not a guarantee about the outcome of an individual appeal.
Hardware bans are a separate enforcement type. Embark’s current policy says hardware-ban appeals are not available; do not try to evade a restriction by changing identifiers or using another machine.

What Embark’s anti-cheat update establishes—and what it does not
In its September 30, 2026 announcement, “An Update on Anti-Cheat”, Embark describes kernel-level protection from Denuvo, detections from Anybrain, and in-house machine-learning models and data. The studio says its systems build confidence before action and consider behavior over multiple instances before issuing a permanent ban once a confidence threshold is met. Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal put it this way: “Anti-cheat systems can’t ban a player the moment something looks suspicious.”

What to include in a support request
- The exact error text or code, preferably copied accurately.
- Whether the game closes, freezes, fails to load, or remains open with a warning—and whether it happens at launch or during a session.
- Your platform and when the issue began.
- Recent game, Windows, or driver updates.
- The troubleshooting steps you have already tried and their results.
- For an account-ban appeal, the enforcement notice and relevant context; keep the account owner in control of the request.
This information helps distinguish the cases described in Embark’s public guidance; it is not a guaranteed checklist or a promise of a particular support outcome.
