Galaxy Tab models do not all support the same microSD capacity or keyboard covers, so check Samsung’s specifications for your device before buying either accessory.
1. Find your exact Galaxy Tab model
“Galaxy Tab” covers several series and generations, and accessory compatibility is not universal. Identify the model name and number, then check the specifications for the market where your tablet was sold. Samsung notes that memory-card limits depend on the model and may differ by region; its UK compatibility table applies to UK and Ireland specifications.

Use Samsung’s [memory-card compatibility table] and the relevant product specification or support page. Do not assume a capacity or cover listed for another Galaxy Tab will work with yours.
2. Choose a microSD card by device limit and workload
If your exact tablet supports microSD expansion, first check its published capacity ceiling. Samsung’s documentation gives examples of how much limits vary:

These figures are examples, not a universal Galaxy Tab limit. Samsung sells microSD cards separately for the S10 FE family.
Match the card to the files you use
Capacity determines how much you can store; card class and read/write speed matter for the work you expect the card to do. Samsung describes microSDXC as suitable for high-resolution video because of its capacity and read/write speed. For less demanding still-photo use, a regular microSD or microSDHC card may suffice. Choose a card category and speed that the tablet supports and the workload needs rather than paying for a class without a reason.

3. Match a keyboard cover to the tablet
Check the accessory listing against your tablet’s exact model before ordering. Samsung’s US support guidance lists different options for selected families: Book Cover Keyboard with AI Key or Book Cover Keyboard Slim with AI Key for Tab S10 and S9 series; regular or Slim Keyboard Cover for Tab A9+; and some Book Cover Keyboards for Tab S8 and S7 series. Samsung also says the Tab A8 does not have a keyboard cover.

Those are examples from Samsung’s US listing, not a promise of current availability in every market or compatibility with every variant in a family. Check Samsung’s current listing and the accessory’s exact model number. The Samsung keyboard support page explains its listed covers.
Choose the form that fits how you use the tablet
- Integrated keyboard cover: Check whether the cover fits the exact tablet, and whether its layout, size, stand position and protection suit your use.
- Separate Bluetooth keyboard: Treat it as a different accessory type. Confirm compatibility and connection requirements with the keyboard maker; Samsung’s POGO-pin guidance does not establish compatibility for third-party Bluetooth keyboards.
Understand Samsung POGO-pin covers
Samsung says its supported POGO-pin keyboard covers connect to the tablet’s special connector and do not need separate power or a Bluetooth connection. This applies to the Samsung connector-based covers described in its guidance, not to every keyboard accessory.

4. Use this buying check
- Identify the tablet: Find its exact model name and number, and establish which regional specification applies.
- For storage: Confirm that the model supports microSD, check its stated capacity ceiling, then choose card capacity and speed for your files and workload.
- For a keyboard: Match the cover’s exact model number to the tablet. Check layout, size, stand and protection needs, and whether the accessory uses POGO pins or Bluetooth.
- Check the current regional listing: Samsung says specifications and accessory offerings can vary by market and change over time, so verify before purchase.
