For Bluetooth pairing with an Android XR device, enable Bluetooth in Quick Settings, put the glasses into pairing mode using their maker’s instructions, and follow the on-screen prompts. If they were paired before, select them under Paired devices to reconnect.
First, identify which device the glasses should connect to
Android XR’s Bluetooth instructions explain how to connect Bluetooth accessories to an Android XR device; they do not establish one universal setup method for every pair of XR glasses. Some glasses may instead connect to an Android phone through the manufacturer’s app or Fast Pair. Check the glasses’ documentation to confirm which route your model uses. Pair glasses with an Android XR device
- Turn on Bluetooth: On the Android XR device, open Home, select Quick Settings, then Bluetooth, and switch Bluetooth on.
- Put the glasses into pairing mode: Use the glasses’ own guide. Pairing mode is specific to the accessory; the Android XR instructions do not prescribe a universal button or gesture.
- Follow the on-screen prompts: Select the glasses when they appear. If the XR device asks for a passkey, enter the code shown on that screen rather than assuming a standard code.
These steps are Google’s documented Bluetooth flow for an Android XR device. The guide does not establish that every glasses model is compatible or uses identical controls.

On the Android XR device, open Home, go to Quick Settings, select Bluetooth, and turn it on. Choose the glasses under Paired devices. A connected device is identified as “Connected.” If the glasses are absent from that list, they may not be paired to this XR device; follow the manufacturer’s pairing instructions rather than treating reconnection as a first-time pairing shortcut. Google’s XR instructions distinguish reconnecting a saved device from pairing an accessory.

If pairing fails or the connection drops
Google’s general Android Bluetooth guidance recommends these basic checks. Menu labels and available controls can differ across XR devices, so use the equivalent options if they are exposed:
- Turn Bluetooth off, then back on.
- Check whether the glasses show as paired and connected.
- Restart both the glasses and the device they should connect to.
- Confirm that the glasses are discoverable and ready to pair according to their instructions, then refresh the list of available accessories.

If you’re using Fast Pair with an Android phone
Use this branch only if the glasses support Fast Pair and you’re setting them up with an Android phone; compatibility is model-specific. If no setup notification appears, search in the phone’s Settings. For supported Fast Pair accessories, Google recommends keeping the phone within 0.5 m (1.6 ft), with Bluetooth and Location on and Wi-Fi or mobile network access available. This is phone Fast Pair guidance, not a verified general distance requirement for Android XR glasses. Google’s Android Bluetooth help describes these checks.
When to contact the glasses maker
Use the manufacturer’s support for model compatibility, the exact pairing-mode control, firmware updates, factory reset, or repair. There is no universal glasses reset procedure established by the Android XR Bluetooth guide, so don’t try a reset sequence from instructions for another model.
