Check the product label or listing for model number CD-24501F. Lenovo’s original model has a 4-inch IPS touch display with 480 × 800 resolution, dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a microphone-mute toggle; it has no camera. Inspect the display, casing, and controls
- Screen and touch: Look for cracks, lines, dead areas, or burn-in. Tap around the screen to check that touch responds across its surface. Lenovo’s specifications confirm that it is a touch display, but do not establish how common faults are in used units.
- Casing: Check for cracks, loose parts, or damage that could suggest a hard drop or exposure to liquid.
- Buttons: Test volume up and down.
- Microphone mute: Move the mute toggle and check that it changes position and is not visibly damaged.
Check for the power adapter and a successful boot
Ask whether the original power adapter is included, then have the seller connect it and show the clock starting up. Lenovo says the Smart Clock has no battery and relies on its included adapter. For a more useful test, try setting it up with the Google Home app on a phone or tablet and a Google account. Lenovo’s instructions specify those requirements. A successful setup is a helpful check, but it is not a guarantee that every current phone, app, network, or account configuration will work.

Decide whether the condition and price make sense
Judge the asking price against current local listings for the same original model, in similar condition and with the adapter included. There is no established fair-price threshold here, so do not treat an old listing or a seller’s comparison with a different Smart Clock model as a reliable benchmark.
