The phrase “new era” is broader editorial framing, not an official declaration that the entire franchise is entering a new phase.
What is the new Dragon Ball era?
The concrete announcement is DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3. The DRAGON BALL OFFICIAL SITE says the newest game project has officially kicked off and identifies it as the latest entry in the Xenoverse series. The official page uses “dawn of a new era” in describing the feature, but that wording refers to the game’s framing; it does not establish a franchise-wide relaunch or a coordinated release plan across every Dragon Ball medium.

The official site notes that its page includes machine-translated text, so its underlying announcement is clearer evidence than any awkward translated phrasing. The site’s statement is official copy, not a quotation from a named person.
What is Xenoverse 3 about?
The one setting detail confirmed on the official page is AGE 1000, described as far in the future from the heyday of Goku and his allies. That establishes a distant-future setting, but not the game’s detailed plot, playable characters, or how familiar characters may appear.

The announcement page does not state a release date or platforms, either. Those details should be treated as unknown rather than inferred from the game’s setting or its place in the series.
What else does the “new era” headline include?
A syndicated page for the title-matched Game Rant article presents the wider outlook as involving two anime projects and an expected manga return. That is the article’s framing, not confirmation from the official announcement cited here. The DRAGON BALL OFFICIAL SITE page establishes the Xenoverse 3 project; it does not confirm those anime or manga expectations or give them release windows.

Where can readers find more about Xenoverse 3?
The official site reports that Saikyo Jump’s July edition went on sale in Japan on June 4, 2026, with a Xenoverse 3 feature. This confirms the magazine issue as a source of related coverage, but not its current availability from any particular retailer.
