Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe safest music for a YouTube live stream is music from the YouTube Audio Library, your own fully cleared original music, public-domain music whose specific recording is also cleared, or third-party music with permission that explicitly covers live streaming. If you keep a replay, check that the permission also covers the archived video. A license alone does not guarantee that YouTube will leave a live stream uninterrupted: a rights holder may need to allowlist your channel in Content ID.
Music sources that are safest for a YouTube live stream
YouTube Audio Library
YouTube describes the Audio Library as a source of royalty-free music and sound effects and calls its tracks copyright-safe. Review the terms for the specific track you choose, including any attribution requirement. Do not assume that every track has identical conditions.

Your own original music
Music you created can be a good choice if you control the rights to every part of it. That includes the composition, recording, samples, loops, and any contributions by collaborators. If another person or company controls any part, get the necessary permission before streaming.

Public-domain music
YouTube includes public-domain music among its safe options. Check the exact version you plan to use: a composition may be in the public domain while a particular recording or arrangement has separate rights.
#1 Best Overall
Third-party royalty-free or paid music
These tracks can be used only to the extent their actual license permits. A purchase, a “royalty-free” label, a free download, or credit in your description does not by itself establish permission for a YouTube live broadcast. Read the license and, where anything is unclear, get written confirmation from the rights holder.
What a music license needs to cover
For a track from outside the Audio Library, check the license against the actual way you will use it. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the streamer to have the necessary rights, including relevant music licensing rights.

- Live transmission: Permission must cover a YouTube live stream, not just use in an edited or prerecorded video.
- Replay: If the stream will remain available as a VOD or archive, confirm that the license covers that use too.
- Territories: Check where the license applies. A globally accessible stream may need broader rights than a stream restricted to a particular territory.
- Monetization and performance: Confirm that monetization is permitted if you plan to earn revenue, and that applicable public-performance and other rights are covered.
- Conditions and limits: Check attribution requirements, license term, platform or channel limits, and any restrictions on reuse.
- Content ID: Ask whether the rights holder will add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the relevant dates and territories.
YouTube’s guidance explains that a license defines where and how music may be used. If the license does not clearly answer one of these questions, do not treat silence as permission.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minutePC Slower Than It Used to Be?

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. When it identifies a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the streamer. If the material remains, the live stream may be temporarily interrupted or terminated.
Rank #3
This can happen even if you have a valid license. YouTube specifically warns that the rights holder may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID; without that step, a licensed track can still trigger live enforcement. If YouTube identifies a match, remove or replace the track rather than assuming that a license will prevent an interruption.
A replay can have a separate issue: YouTube says Content ID claims may be made after the live stream ends. Live-stream permission and replay permission are distinct questions, so confirm both before broadcasting.

Can you use Creator Music on a live stream?
No. YouTube says Creator Music does not support licensing for live content. Its licensing and revenue-sharing tracks are limited to long-form videos, not live streams or Shorts. A track appearing in Creator Music, or being available under a Creator Music option, does not clear it for a livestream.
YouTube describes Creator Music as available to U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program, with expansion outside the U.S. pending; eligibility and availability may change. Regardless of access, its current stated licensing scope does not include live streams.

How to check a track before you go live
- Identify the exact recording. Note the track, recording, version, and any samples or collaborators. Rights to a composition do not necessarily clear a specific recording.
- Read the track’s terms. Look for explicit permission for live-stream transmission, your platform, territories, monetization, and an archived replay if applicable.
- Get missing permissions in writing. If the terms do not clearly cover a planned use, ask the rights holder before using the track.
- Confirm Content ID handling. Ask whether the rights holder can allowlist your channel and when that change will take effect. Keep their confirmation accessible.
- Prepare a replacement. Keep a cleared alternative ready so you can remove a track promptly if YouTube flags it or the stream is interrupted.

If your plan is to keep a YouTube channel live with prerecorded music or other uploaded videos, StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos from the cloud. It does not clear music rights: choose and license tracks using the checks above. StreamNeo is for YouTube streams, not camera broadcasts.
