Use only batteries and chargers approved for the specific tool. The cited mower manual also recommends two 4.0-Ah batteries or higher for best performance on that mower. That recommendation applies to the mower described in the manual, not the KOC 4124A-03 trimmer-and-blower kit.

Will a Kobalt battery fit a different Kobalt tool?
Do not assume that a battery fits just because two tools carry the same brand name. Lowe’s says the KOC 4124A-03 battery and tools are compatible with Kobalt 24V Max batteries and chargers. Kobalt’s brand information also describes tools on other voltage platforms, including 80V equipment. A Kobalt-branded site says 24V MAX and 40V use different interfaces and are not cross-compatible; that does not establish compatibility across every model or generation.
