It combines a large display, a built-in S Pen, a multi-camera system and Samsung’s Galaxy AI features.
What kind of phone is the Galaxy S24 Ultra?
Samsung positions the S24 Ultra as the top-end model in the Galaxy S24 series. Its defining features are a large, high-resolution screen, an integrated S Pen, several rear cameras and a titanium frame. Those are Samsung’s product descriptions, not independent evidence that it outperforms other phones.

Samsung introduced Galaxy AI as part of the phone’s feature set, describing tools for translation, search and creative editing. Availability can depend on the feature, language, region and software; Samsung’s launch material does not establish that every feature is available to every user.

#1 Best Overall
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
What does the built-in S Pen do?
The S Pen is stored in the phone and can be used for writing, tapping and navigation. It is an integrated stylus rather than a separately purchased accessory. Samsung cautions that the S Pen’s water and dust resistance may diminish through normal wear.
What does IP68 mean for this phone?
Samsung specifies laboratory testing in freshwater at a depth of up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. The rating does not mean the phone is intended for use at the beach or in a pool, and it should not be treated as a guarantee against water damage in every situation.
Rank #2
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The listed numbers describe hardware and Samsung’s stated test conditions. By themselves, they do not establish real-world camera quality, battery runtime, comparative performance or which phone is the better choice. Those conclusions would require evidence beyond the manufacturer’s product specifications.
