The Aston Martin Valhalla is a production-intended, mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar—not a car designed only for a video game. IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios announced on November 20, 2025 that it features in 007 First Light, a standalone, reimagined James Bond origin story. Their announcement confirms its inclusion, but does not say whether players can drive it or explain its role in the story.
What is the Aston Martin Valhalla?
Aston Martin describes the Valhalla as its first series-production mid-engined supercar and its first plug-in hybrid. The company announced a production limit of 999 cars. That makes it a real road-car program with a planned limited run, rather than a Bond vehicle created just for 007 First Light.

Its defining feature is a hybrid powertrain that combines a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors. Aston Martin’s December 2024 specification announcement gives the combined system 1079PS of power and 1100Nm of torque.
How does the Valhalla’s hybrid powertrain work?
The V8 produces a manufacturer-quoted 828PS, while the three electric motors contribute a further 251PS. Two of those motors drive the front axle; the V8 sends power to the rear axle through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Aston Martin also describes torque vectoring through the two front motors and says the car can drive in EV-only mode.
#1 Best Overall
The combination of front electric drive and rear V8 power is the central engineering distinction in the published specification: it gives the Valhalla all-wheel drive while joining electric motors to a conventional combustion engine and transmission. The car uses a carbon-fibre tub, and its active aerodynamic system includes DRS and an air-brake function.
What performance does Aston Martin claim?
| Specification | Aston Martin’s published figure |
|---|---|
| Combined power | 1079PS, from an 828PS V8 and three motors contributing 251PS |
| Combined torque | 1100Nm |
| 0–100km/h (62mph) | 2.5 seconds |
| Maximum speed | 350km/h (217mph), electronically limited |
| Downforce | More than 600kg from 240km/h to 350km/h |
| Announced production limit | 999 cars |
These are Aston Martin’s announced specifications and performance claims, not figures presented here as independent test results. The company attributes the downforce figure to active aerodynamics that adjust wing angles as speed increases. Its March 31, 2025 validation update repeated the power, torque and performance figures and said the car was in final validation sign-off before planned production.

What is the Valhalla’s role in 007 First Light?
The November 20, 2025 announcement from IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios says the Aston Martin Valhalla features in 007 First Light. It positions the car within the game’s Bond world, but does not establish that it is drivable, that Bond drives it, how often it appears, or what happens in any scene involving it. Those details should not be inferred from the word “features.”
