Its entry rules and bracket structure can change from one stop to the next. For the Autumn 2026 stop in Skövde, Sweden, the organizer described open registration with no VRS invites or open qualifier, followed by round-robin groups and single-elimination playoffs. Its listed match dates, October 2–3, 2026, have passed; check the official ROG Journey Discord for organizer updates.
What is ROG Journey?
ROG Journey is a Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament series. Each stop has its own event details, so qualification routes, team counts, formats, dates and venues should be checked against that stop’s official announcement rather than treated as fixed series-wide rules.

Autumn 2026 was scheduled for October 2–3 at Billingehus Spa Hotel in Skövde, Sweden. The event page said players could access facilities through the morning of October 4. Because those match dates have passed, this guide describes the published Autumn format as an example, not a currently open competition.

The Autumn event page described the event as open to anyone, with registration available from July 6 at 12:00 CEST through September 30 at 12:00 CEST. That registration window has closed. The page listed no direct VRS invites, no wildcard invites and no open qualifier for this stop. In other words, the published entry route was registration, not a separate qualifier or an invitation pathway.

What was the Autumn 2026 tournament format?
Round-robin group stage
The organizer listed a best-of-one (BO1) round-robin group stage. Its example for a 24-team field was four groups of six, with each team playing five matches. The event page said group sizes and match counts would be adjusted to the final number of teams, so the 24-team illustration was not a guaranteed fixed field.
Route from groups to playoffs
Each group winner advanced directly to the quarterfinals. Teams finishing second or third in their groups entered a best-of-three (BO3) knockout stage to determine further playoff places. The playoffs were single-elimination BO3: lose a match and the team is out.

Why can another ROG Journey stop have different rules?
The Summer 2026 event at Glitched in Jönköping used a different plan. Glitched described a 32-team field, with 30 places available through first-come registration and two through an open BYOC qualifier. The eight highest-ranked teams were to enter a double-elimination BO3 playoff directly; the other 24 played BO1 groups, with the top eight advancing. Glitched also announced Summer as a VRS Tier 2 tournament with a SEK 200,000 prize pool.
Those Summer details do not define Autumn or future stops. When comparing events, look separately at the entry route, field and group structure, advancement cutoffs, playoff format, venue and dates, and the official channels for updates. The Summer prize pool was announced for that stop only; it should not be assumed for another event.

The Autumn event page said players needed to bring their own headset and in-ear headphones, and that headsets would not be provided for all games. Participants considering a future stop should check its event instructions for equipment requirements, as they may not be identical.
