The family is planned to include compact desktop PCs as well as slim laptops. Compared with a conventional desktop tower, the announced differences are the integrated processor-and-graphics design, unified memory, and compact form factor—not that RTX Spark is a different category from Windows PCs.
What NVIDIA RTX Spark is
NVIDIA presents RTX Spark as a Windows PC platform aimed particularly at running personal AI agents locally, alongside creative work, gaming, and everyday productivity. Its central component is a superchip that links a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU and a Blackwell RTX GPU using NVLink-C2C. NVIDIA specifies 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores for the GPU, and says the platform supports up to 128 GB of unified memory.

NVIDIA advertises up to 1 petaflop of AI performance. That is a manufacturer-stated maximum, not an independently measured result for a shipping RTX Spark model. The announcement and product page do not establish how a particular retail configuration will perform in a specific application.

NVIDIA says the platform integrates CUDA, RTX, DLSS, TensorRT, OptiX, Reflex, and G-SYNC technologies. These capabilities support the company’s stated AI, creative, and gaming use cases; practical support and results will depend on the exact computer, software, and workload.

How RTX Spark differs from a conventional desktop PC
A conventional desktop often means a tower with a separate CPU and graphics card. RTX Spark’s announced design instead puts its Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU together in an integrated superchip and uses unified memory. NVIDIA also describes its desktop versions as compact and ultra-efficient. It remains a Windows PC, but the hardware approach is different from the common upgradeable-tower pattern.
| What to compare | RTX Spark, based on NVIDIA’s announcement | What to check on a conventional desktop or exact RTX Spark model |
|---|---|---|
| Processor and graphics | 20-core Grace CPU and Blackwell RTX GPU in an integrated superchip | Whether the CPU and GPU are separate components, and the specific models and measured performance |
| Memory | Up to 128 GB unified memory, according to NVIDIA | Capacity, memory type, and whether memory can be upgraded; RTX Spark OEM-specific details are not established by the announcement |
| Size | Compact desktop PCs are planned, alongside slim laptops | Exact dimensions, cooling, and noise for the specific system; these are not stated for RTX Spark models in the announcement |
| Operating system | Announced as a Windows PC family | Confirm the operating system and configuration on the specific product listing |
| Price and availability | Fall 2026 was the announced availability window; exact retail prices and confirmed stock are not stated | Check the maker’s current listing for a released model, its configuration, price, and availability |
The platform announcement is not enough to declare RTX Spark faster, more upgradeable, quieter, or better value than desktop PCs as a whole. Those questions depend on the exact OEM system and independent testing. In particular, NVIDIA has not provided, in the cited announcement, a complete retail configuration or model-specific information about ports, cooling, or upgrade paths.

What to verify before buying
NVIDIA announced compact desktops and slim Windows laptops from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, and MSI for fall 2026, with Acer and GIGABYTE models to follow. This is an announced plan, not confirmation that any particular model has shipped or is in stock.
When comparing a real RTX Spark model with a desktop tower, check the product maker’s listing for:

- Independent performance results for the software and games you use, rather than relying on a platform-level maximum.
- Windows software and peripheral compatibility for your needs.
- Dimensions, cooling, power use, ports, and networking.
- Price, release status, warranty, and configuration details for the model in your region.
Until model-level specifications and independent tests are available, these are open buying questions rather than established advantages or drawbacks of every RTX Spark PC.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.RTX Spark is not DGX Spark
Despite the similar names, NVIDIA DGX Spark is a separate AI desktop platform, not another name for the RTX Spark Windows PC family. NVIDIA documentation describes DGX Spark as a compact system with a 20-core Arm CPU, Blackwell GPU, 128 GB unified memory, and DGX OS; its dimensions are 150 × 150 × 50.5 mm. RTX Spark, by contrast, is announced as a Windows family that includes laptops as well as compact desktops. Do not assume the systems share an operating system or product purpose because their names and some hardware terms overlap.
