All three Hytale editions include game access. The price tiers primarily add cumulative cosmetic collections, while Cursebreaker—the store’s named Founder’s Edition—also carries a current Standard Edition gift code and a separate announced promise of more friend copies tied to Early Access chapters. The editions are sold only during Early Access, although their unlocks remain on the buyer’s account afterward.
This guide reflects the live Hytale store page accessed October 13, 2026, the December 3, 2025 official FAQ, and the founder announcement reported October 9, 2026.

Hytale editions at a glance
The store lists Standard, Supporter and Cursebreaker. Higher editions contain the lower edition’s contents, so moving upward adds cosmetics rather than replacing an earlier package. Cursebreaker is the tier the store labels as the Founder’s Edition.
| Edition | Game access | Cosmetics and extras | Friend-copy benefit | Availability and persistence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Included | Standard Cape, Forest Guardian set, Voyager set and Savanna Scout set | No gift entitlement listed | Purchase is limited to Early Access; purchased unlocks stay on the account after Early Access |
| Supporter | Included | Everything in Standard, plus Supporter capes, Featherbound, Scavenger, Arctic Scout and Bannerlord sets, and Explorer Goggles. The store also lists another item as “Soon to be revealed…” | No separate gift entitlement listed | Same Early Access purchase window and post-Early-Access account persistence |
| Cursebreaker (Founder’s Edition) | Included | Everything in Standard and Supporter, plus exclusive Cursebreaker capes; Hope of Gaia, Void Hero, Pop Star, Voidbearer, Battleworn, Blazen Wizard, Frostwarden, Merchant and Wasteland Marauder sets; and an item marked “Soon to be revealed…” | One current Chapter 1 Release Gift Standard code, plus a separately announced one-copy-per-chapter promise before version 1.0 | Same Early Access purchase window and post-Early-Access account persistence |
The “Soon to be revealed…” entries are not named items yet, and the store says more content can be added in future updates. Treat those statements as planned or unrevealed content, not as a detailed list of guaranteed cosmetic names.

What Standard Edition includes
Standard is the base digital package. It grants access to Hytale and four listed cosmetic groups:
- Standard Cape
- Forest Guardian set
- Voyager set
- Savanna Scout set
There is no indication that Standard uses a reduced game client or a restricted gameplay mode. Its distinction is the smaller cosmetic bundle and the absence of the friend-copy benefit shown for Cursebreaker.

What Supporter Edition adds
Supporter includes the complete Standard package, then adds a second layer of cosmetics:
- Supporter capes
- Featherbound set
- Scavenger set
- Arctic Scout set
- Bannerlord set
- Explorer Goggles
The store also displays an additional Supporter item as “Soon to be revealed…” and says more content will arrive in future updates. That makes Supporter a cumulative cosmetic upgrade, not a different access class. Someone who buys Supporter is not buying a separate game license from Standard; the extra value is the expanded collection and any future content attached to the edition.

What Cursebreaker, the Founder’s Edition, adds
Cursebreaker contains both lower-edition packages and then adds its own exclusive cosmetics. The named additions are:
- Exclusive Cursebreaker capes
- Hope of Gaia set
- Void Hero set
- Pop Star set
- Voidbearer set
- Battleworn set
- Blazen Wizard set
- Frostwarden set
- Merchant set
- Wasteland Marauder set
As with Supporter, the store includes an item marked “Soon to be revealed…” and notes that future updates may add more content. The named list is therefore the currently disclosed collection, not necessarily the final lifetime contents of the edition.
Game access is the same across all three tiers
Each edition’s store listing explicitly includes game access. The practical difference between Standard, Supporter and Cursebreaker is the amount and exclusivity of cosmetic content, not a higher gameplay tier, separate servers or an earlier access class identified by the store.
Hytale is in Early Access and remains in active development. The store warns that the game may contain bugs and that features or content can change. Buying a higher edition should therefore be understood as purchasing the listed access and entitlements under an evolving Early Access product, not as a promise that every unrevealed or future feature is already fixed.

How the Cursebreaker friend-copy offer works
The current Chapter 1 Release Gift
The live store advertises a “Chapter 1 Release Gift” for every Cursebreaker Edition. It is a bonus Standard Edition digital gift code that the purchaser can share with a friend or family member. The code is claimable from the buyer’s game profile after purchase, and the recipient needs a Hytale account to redeem it.
- Buy Cursebreaker through the official Hytale store.
- Sign in to the Hytale game profile associated with that purchase.
- After the purchase is credited, look in that profile for the Chapter 1 Release Gift Standard code.
- Give the code to the intended friend or family member.
- Have the recipient sign in to, or create, a Hytale account and redeem the code.
The entitlement is digital. The offer does not describe a physical box, disc or merchandise shipment.

The announced per-chapter copies before version 1.0
In a founder announcement reported by GamesRadar on October 9, 2026, Hytale founder Simon Collins-Laflamme said: “For every Hytale early access chapter we release, Cursebreaker Edition owners will get 1 extra game copy to give away. If we release 6 chapters before 1.0, that’s 6 extra standard copies to give to friends and family!” The report is available at GamesRadar.
The second sentence is explicitly conditional. Six chapters is an illustration, not a promised release schedule or guaranteed total. The final number of chapter-linked copies depends on how many Early Access chapters are actually released before version 1.0. The announcement also does not establish a universal date, delivery screen or redemption workflow for each future copy, so do not treat the hypothetical six-copy example as an entitlement today.

Read the two statements separately: the store currently specifies one Chapter 1 Standard gift code, while the founder announcement describes an additional mechanism linked to future chapter releases. Until Hytale publishes the operational details for later chapters, avoid calculating a fixed lifetime total or assuming that every future code will appear in exactly the same profile location.
When you can buy an edition and what you keep
Purchase window
The store says these editions are available for purchase only during Early Access. If you are deciding between tiers, the relevant deadline is the end of the Early Access sales window, not the eventual 1.0 launch date. The store does not state that the Founder’s Edition will remain purchasable at 1.0.
Unlocks after Early Access
The same store listing says that all unlocks from the editions stay on the buyer’s account after Early Access. That covers the edition’s listed cosmetics and associated entitlements; it does not turn an unrevealed item into a named, fully specified feature before Hytale publishes its details.

Hytale’s official FAQ, posted December 3, 2025 by Executive Director Patrick “Lyall” Derbic, said: “Yes! If you didn’t already purchase the Cursebreaker Edition, you will be able to upgrade your game edition at a later stage and only pay the difference between your old and new editions.” The FAQ is at Hytale’s 1st FAQ.

That statement is useful evidence of the intended upgrade policy, but it predates the current store presentation and is not repeated on the live store page. Before buying Standard or Supporter on the assumption that a later upgrade will definitely be available, sign in to your Hytale account and check the upgrade offer and price shown there. The account flow is the current source for what your purchase can be upgraded to and what difference, if any, you would pay.

The December 2025 FAQ originally said gifting had not yet been implemented. The live store now describes a specific Cursebreaker Chapter 1 gift code. These statements refer to different points in time and different levels of generality: the older FAQ described the feature status then, while the current store documents a particular digital offer now.
Do not use the old “not implemented” wording to conclude that the present Chapter 1 code is unavailable. Conversely, do not assume that the current code means unrestricted gifting of every edition; the store specifically describes a Standard Edition code tied to Cursebreaker.
Which edition fits which buyer?
Choose Standard if access is your only requirement
Standard is the straightforward choice when you want to play Hytale and do not value the additional cosmetic sets, capes or goggles. It includes the same game access identified for the two higher tiers.
Choose Supporter for a larger cosmetic collection without the friend-copy offer
Supporter is aimed at players who want the Standard cosmetics plus its additional cape, outfit and Explorer Goggles bundle. The store does not list a Standard gift code or the chapter-linked copy promise for this tier.

Cursebreaker is the relevant tier if you want every currently named cosmetic package, the exclusive Cursebreaker items, the current Chapter 1 Standard code and eligibility for the founder’s announced chapter-based copies. The chapter promise has no fixed final count, so its value depends partly on Hytale’s eventual pre-1.0 release schedule.
Purchase checklist and common mistakes
- Confirm the tier name: the store calls Cursebreaker the Founder’s Edition; “founder’s editions” is often used informally for all three Early Access packages.
- Separate access from cosmetics: every edition includes game access, while higher tiers mainly expand the cosmetic inventory.
- Check the sale window: the editions are listed as Early Access-only purchases.
- Use the purchasing account: the Chapter 1 code is claimed from the buyer’s game profile, not from a generic public download page.
- Prepare the recipient’s account: a Hytale account is required to redeem a gift code.
- Do not promise six copies: six is Collins-Laflamme’s conditional example, not the confirmed number of chapters before 1.0.
- Recheck upgrade terms: the December 2025 FAQ supports paying the difference for a later upgrade, but the current account flow should confirm the offer before you rely on it.
- Expect Early Access change: bugs, balance changes and additions are possible, and unrevealed items do not yet have published names or specifications.
Bottom line
Standard, Supporter and Cursebreaker all provide Hytale access. Supporter adds a larger cosmetic bundle, and Cursebreaker includes every lower-tier cosmetic plus its exclusive sets and capes. Cursebreaker is also the only edition whose current store listing includes a Chapter 1 Standard gift code; the founder has separately announced one additional Standard copy for each Early Access chapter released before 1.0, with the final total still unknown. Buy during Early Access if you want one of these editions, and verify any later upgrade offer in your account rather than relying solely on the older FAQ.
