Those capabilities make it a candidate for research and other knowledge work, but they do not establish that any particular person has used it for these tasks—or that its results are correct. The four workflows below are practical ways to evaluate it, with a human review step in each.
What Google Antigravity is—and what “beyond coding” means
Google describes Antigravity 2.0 as a standalone desktop application for launching, monitoring, and orchestrating AI agents on complex knowledge and coding tasks. Its documented capabilities include web searches, Chrome interaction, file read/write operations, system commands, external tools through skills and MCP servers, subagents, and artifacts such as implementation plans. See Google Antigravity’s Antigravity 2.0 overview.
This is a broader framing than the launch-era product explanation. Google’s November 18, 2025 announcement presented an agentic development platform with an IDE Editor view and an Agent Manager surface; current documentation describes version 2.0 as independent of an IDE. The announcement also emphasized inspectable work products—including task lists, plans, walkthroughs, screenshots, and browser recordings—rather than asking users to trust an agent’s claims without evidence (Google’s launch announcement).
That makes Antigravity potentially useful for bounded knowledge-work tasks. It does not make the app an independent researcher or guarantee accurate results. Treat the following as workflow patterns supported by documented capabilities, not claims of personal use or measured performance.

1. Delegate a bounded web-research task
Web searching is among the capabilities listed in the current documentation. A useful task is not “research everything about this topic,” but a question with a clear scope, source expectations, and deliverable. For example: “Compare the published return policies of these three companies. Use their official policy pages, note the page date if available, and make a table of the differences. Flag anything you cannot verify.”
Ask for a source-organized summary or plan so you can check whether each conclusion follows from the cited material. Verify that the pages are authoritative and current, open the important sources yourself, and distinguish a direct statement from the agent’s interpretation. A polished artifact is a review aid, not proof that the research is sound.

2. Use Chrome interaction for browser-based work
Google’s current documentation lists Chrome interaction; the launch-era guide also described browser control and browser recordings. This can support tasks that involve navigating pages and collecting information, with the browser activity and resulting artifacts available for inspection (Google’s launch announcement; Antigravity 2.0 overview).
Keep the assignment read-only unless an action is necessary and you explicitly authorize it. A prompt might ask the agent to visit a specified set of public pages, extract named fields, and return a table with page references—without submitting forms, changing account settings, or making purchases. Review the browser activity and check extracted details against the original pages, especially when information is behind a login, changes frequently, or could trigger an external action.

Ideal for Online course, Online school, k12 & k9 & College students, Zoom meeting, or Video streaming
3. Organize a defined set of files or connected tools
Antigravity 2.0 documents file reading and writing, along with connections to external tools through skills and MCP servers. That suggests a practical fit for a constrained transformation: for example, asking it to sort a specified folder of notes into topic groups, produce an index, or combine data from an explicitly named connected source into a draft report (Antigravity 2.0 overview).
Define which files or tools are in scope, what output you expect, and whether the agent may modify originals. Prefer a new output folder or copy when possible; then inspect the result and spot-check it against the source material. For connected services, review what the integration can access and what actions it can take before delegating. The documentation establishes that these capabilities are available, not that every integration is configured by default or appropriate for sensitive information.

4. Delegate a longer task asynchronously and review its artifacts
Google describes Antigravity’s manager experience as a way to launch and monitor agents, including work that proceeds asynchronously. Its developer examples include multi-tool tasks and long-running maintenance work; these are vendor examples, not independent evidence of success rates (Google Developers Blog).
For knowledge work, give an agent a scoped assignment with a concrete deliverable and a stop condition—for instance, to prepare an outline from a specified set of documents and flag unresolved questions. Review the plan or interim artifacts before relying on the final output, and give feedback when assumptions or scope need correction. Parallel agents may be useful when subtasks are genuinely separable, but their outputs still need to be reconciled and checked by a person.

Choose a workflow by its risks and review needs
| Workflow | Work type | Useful evidence to inspect | Key human check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web research | Web search | Source-organized summary or plan | Confirm source quality, dates, and whether conclusions match sources. |
| Browser task | Chrome interaction | Browser activity or recording, where available | Check the pages and data; authorize consequential actions explicitly. |
| File or tool task | File operations or connected tools | New index, transformed files, or report | Confirm scope, permissions, and output against originals. |
| Asynchronous delegation | Longer or parallel knowledge work | Plan, progress artifacts, and final deliverable | Review assumptions, resolve conflicting outputs, and confirm completion. |
Google’s stated principles for the launch-era platform were “trust, autonomy, feedback, and self-improvement,” a description from the Google Antigravity Team rather than an independent assessment of quality (Google Antigravity Team, November 18, 2025). In practice, the useful balance is to delegate bounded work while retaining control over permissions and verification.
