The exact rules and assessment route depend on the product; the mark alone does not tell you which ones applied.
What does EAC tell you?
EAC is a market-circulation mark for the EAEU, whose member states use common technical regulations for covered products. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) describes it as a mark for products that meet technical-regulation requirements and have passed the established conformity-assessment procedures. For electronics, the mark is not a feature, model number or general quality rating. It indicates conformity with the rules that apply to that particular product category. It does not, by itself, promise a certain level of durability, performance or safety beyond those applicable requirements.

EAEU technical regulations define requirements for product groups, so there is no single checklist that applies identically to every electronic device. The relevant regulation or regulations, and the assessment procedure required, depend on the product. EAEU legal text on the common mark

Conformity assessment can take different forms, including registration, testing, certification and declarations. The applicable regulations set the schemes and procedures. Consequently, seeing EAC does not mean that every individual unit underwent the same laboratory test.
What the mark does—and does not—establish
- It does indicate: the product is represented as conforming to applicable EAEU technical regulations through the prescribed assessment route.
- It does not identify: the specific regulations, assessment scheme or supporting documents. Those details cannot be read from the letters alone.
- It is not a general endorsement: the mark does not establish overall product quality or guarantee performance beyond the requirements that apply.
How to recognize the mark on a label
EEC guidance sets basic presentation requirements: the characters may be Cyrillic or Latin, the mark should contrast with its background, and it must remain distinguishable throughout the product’s service life. The stated minimum size is 5 mm. EEC guidance on technical regulation and marking

If you need to identify the rules behind a specific device, the product label is not enough. You would need product-specific documentation or the applicable technical regulation and conformity-assessment records.

In a 2019 facts publication, the EEC reported that 80% of the EAEU technical regulations adopted at that time provided for declaration-based conformity assessment. It also reported 984,167 issued compliance certificates and 5,120,499 registered declarations in the unified register as of early August 2019. What to take from the letters
When you see EAC on electronics, read it as a sign of conformity with applicable EAEU technical regulations—not as a universal test result or a full description of the product’s compliance paperwork. To determine precisely what was required for a particular device, you need its product category and relevant conformity documentation.
