There is no single list that fits every Ring Video Doorbell box. The contents depend on the exact model, its generation, and whether it runs on a battery or is wired to your existing doorbell circuit. Ring’s own product pages list different items for each, so match your model name before you check the box against a list.
Start with the exact model name
“Ring Video Doorbell” is a general product family, not a single package. The model name is printed on the box and on the device itself. Ring’s product FAQs and support pages are organized by model, which is why the included items differ from one listing to the next. The examples below come from Ring’s official pages at the time of writing. Listings change, so confirm against the current listing for your model before relying on them.

Battery models: Battery Doorbell 2K Plus
Ring’s current Battery Doorbell 2K Plus FAQ says the product “comes complete with everything needed for installation.” According to that listing, the box includes:

- Mounting bracket and hardware
- A Micro-USB charging cable
- A corner kit
- Installation tools and screws
- A quick start guide
- A security sticker
Because the battery and charging cable are listed as included, you do not need to buy a separate battery or cable for this model. The corner kit is also listed as part of the package, so it is not an extra purchase for installations that need it.

Wired models: Wired Video Doorbell (2nd Gen)
Ring’s current wired product FAQ for the Wired Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) lists four items: the doorbell, a mounting bracket, installation hardware, and setup instructions. It does not list a battery, and it does not list a power adapter.
Ring’s support material says compatible plug-in power adapters and DIN rail transformers are sold separately. Wired doorbells depend on the transformer and wiring already in your home, so check the power requirements for your exact model and confirm that your existing doorbell wiring is compatible before ordering. If you are unsure whether your wiring qualifies, a licensed electrician can confirm it.

Older models can ship with longer parts lists
Older Ring models sometimes came with a longer set of installation parts. The Video Doorbell 2 is one example. Its listed contents included a Quick Release Battery Pack and Micro USB charging cable, an adapter plate, a miniature level, a screwdriver handle with two bit sizes, screws and anchors, a drill bit, a user manual and installation guide, a diode, wire extensions and wire nuts, corner and mount wedges, and two interchangeable faceplates. None of those items should be treated as part of a current Ring box unless the current listing for your model names them.

Check your box against the list
- Find the model name on the box or device. If the name does not match one of the models above, check Ring’s current product page for that name rather than relying on the general product family.
- Count the items against the list for that model. Pay attention to the battery, charging cable, and corner kit for battery models, and to the bracket and hardware for wired models.
- For a wired model, confirm the power source separately. The box does not include a transformer or plug-in adapter, so your existing wiring and the model’s power requirements decide whether you need one.
- Look for the quick start guide and the security sticker. Ring does not print a full user manual for every package. Its manual directory provides downloadable manuals instead, so look up your model there if you need the complete guide.
If something on the list is missing, contact Ring support with the model name and the package contents you received.

Why the details matter before you buy
Buyers often assume a battery, a power adapter, or a set of wall-mounting parts comes in every box. That is not what Ring’s listings show. Battery and wired models have different included items, and wired models rely on power that is sold separately. Comparing the model name and the included-items section on the product page is the most reliable way to know what you will receive.
These contents statements come from Ring’s own product and support pages. They are the manufacturer’s description of what ships with each model, not an independent check of an individual box.
