Build a Web3 launchpad and arena as distinct product workflows with explicit interfaces, narrowly scoped authorization, and observable transaction states. Treat “high-speed” as a benchmark result—not an architectural feature or a claim established by the available examples. No project-specific chain, workload, or performance measurements are identified here, so the design below is a framework, not a description of a particular deployment.
How should a launchpad differ from an arena?
A launchpad and an arena may share identity, wallet, contract, or event infrastructure, but they answer different product questions. A launchpad might manage project discovery, eligibility, allocation, or token distribution. An arena might manage competitions, rounds, rankings, or settlement. Those are design responsibilities to define for the actual product, not features established for every Web3 platform.

| Module | Possible responsibilities | Questions to settle in the design |
|---|---|---|
| Launchpad | Project presentation, eligibility checks, allocations, and distribution | Who qualifies, how allocation is determined, and what on-chain event proves distribution? |
| Arena | Competition entry, rounds, participant actions, rankings, and settlement | What counts as a valid action, when does a round close, and how are results finalized? |
THENA’s documentation is one example of the distinction: it describes ARENA as a social platform for trading competitions and labels Launchpad as upcoming. That is evidence of separate feature labels in that product, not evidence that its architecture or workflow matches another system.

Make ownership and interfaces explicit before wiring the user interface to contracts. A useful conceptual flow is:
#1 Best Overall
- Client: collects user intent and displays the status returned by services and the chain.
- Identity and authorization: establishes which user or agent may act, under what scope and expiry.
- Application services: validate eligibility and rules, coordinate rounds or allocations, and record application-level state.
- Contracts and chain: enforce the on-chain rules and produce transaction receipts or events.
- Indexing and reconciliation: consume chain events, update application views, and detect when application state has not caught up with confirmed chain state.
For every boundary, specify which component is authoritative for each fact. For example, a contract receipt can establish that a transaction was confirmed on-chain; an application database may still need to process an event before the user’s inventory or leaderboard reflects it. Do not let the UI imply that one component’s acknowledgement proves another component has completed its work.
How should an arena action move through testnet?
The Arena 402 Player Guide documents a concrete sequence that illustrates why an arena interaction is more than a button click. Its example checks an Agent and wallet, verifies capacity, creates a game-scoped PaymentMandate, confirms a READY seat, processes public events and agent actions, negotiates terms, submits settlement on Injective EVM testnet, and then ranks results. This is an example workflow, not a claim about the unnamed system in this article.
Rank #2
- Preflight: check that the intended agent and wallet are available and that the game has capacity.
- Authorize: establish the required scoped permission before any action that could incur a payment.
- Confirm readiness: show the participant when a seat is READY rather than treating a submitted join request as entry.
- Run the arena: process public events and permitted agent actions according to the round rules.
- Negotiate and settle: distinguish accepted terms from a submitted transaction and from chain confirmation.
- Commit application state: update the participant’s inventory or results after the application has processed the confirmed event.
- Rank: compute and expose results only under the defined rules for completed actions and settlement.
Which transaction states should users see?
Use separate states for separate events. The Arena 402 Player Guide puts it plainly: “Negotiation, payment, and inventory commit are separate stages.” In its flow, accepting terms does not mean payment has settled, and chain confirmation can arrive before the application’s inventory update.
Recommended Free Tools
- Accepted: the parties or application accepted the terms; this is not proof of payment.
- Submitted or pending: a transaction has been sent, but the application does not yet know its final chain outcome.
- Confirmed on-chain: the chain has reported confirmation under the system’s stated confirmation policy.
- Application committed: the application has processed the relevant result and updated its own view, such as inventory or ranking.
- Failed or unresolved: show a failure when one is known; if the outcome cannot yet be determined, say it is unresolved and provide a way to check status rather than prompting a potentially duplicative action.
Keep transaction identifiers and timestamps available to support reconciliation. Define how the client and backend handle a delayed receipt, a reverted transaction, a repeated event, or a confirmed transaction whose application update is delayed. Those recovery behaviors are part of the product’s correctness, not merely operational details.

How should testnet permissions and custody be bounded?
Arena 402’s example PaymentMandate is limited to one game, one agent, a testnet token, a payee rule, an amount, and a validity window. Creating that mandate is not itself an immediate payment. This is a useful illustration of scoped authorization, not evidence of the custody model used by another project.
For the actual system, document who controls each key and what authority it grants: user-held, delegated, hosted, or contract-controlled. Then define the permission’s scope, spending limit, expiry, and revocation behavior. Make clear which action creates authorization and which later action can consume it; a permission grant should not be presented as though it already transferred funds.

No benchmark in the available examples establishes the speed of the system named by this topic. Before publishing a performance claim, record enough detail for another engineer to interpret or reproduce the result:
- Exact testnet, client, contract, and deployment versions.
- Transaction types and the workload mix, including reads if they are part of the measured user flow.
- Concurrent users or agents and the duration of each run.
- A defined throughput measure, such as successful transactions per second, excluding failed or reverted transactions unless stated otherwise.
- Median and tail latency, such as p95 and p99, plus failed and reverted transaction counts.
- The confirmation or finality assumption used to stop the latency clock.
- Whether the measurement includes RPC queues, indexing, application processing, and settlement or inventory commits.
- Repeated runs, controls, and known testnet variability.
Report the workload and method alongside the numbers. A chain’s block time, a submitted-transaction rate, and a completed user action are not interchangeable measures. Do not compare testnet results with production or another chain unless the workload and measurement method are comparable.

The AIArena paper reports a research implementation on Base Sepolia and an experiment from April 30 through December 9, 2024. The authors report 603 training nodes, 1,051 validators, 63,265 delegators, 18,656 generated models, and 16 training tasks over approximately seven months. Those are participation and output figures for that project; they are not transaction throughput or latency measurements, and they do not establish current activity or performance for another system.
What should a Web3 launchpad security review cover?
Review the contracts and the surrounding web application and APIs; a contract-only assessment does not cover the entire user-facing system. Record the assessed repository and commit, test dates, scope, methods, findings, and any exclusions so readers can tell which deployed code the conclusion applies to.
Hashlock’s published Gala launchpad report describes manual and software-assisted review of web applications and APIs, records a November 2025 penetration-test date and code commits, and distinguishes its fix review from a comprehensive assessment of all new implementation. The report is an example of useful scope disclosure; it does not establish that another project has been audited or is secure.
- Identify the exact contracts, web applications, APIs, and deployment versions in scope.
- Describe the review methods and the tested dates and commits.
- Track each finding through remediation and verification.
- State whether a remediation check covered only identified findings or retested the wider system and changed code.
- Reassess changes made after the reviewed version before extending the original conclusion to them.
What can the examples establish—and what remains unproven?
The examples support practical lessons about separating product workflows, modeling authorization narrowly, making settlement stages visible, measuring a defined workload, and disclosing audit scope. They do not identify the target project’s mechanics, chain, deployment, custody arrangements, or benchmark results. Until those particulars and measurements are available, describe the work as a testnet architecture or implementation rather than presenting “high-speed” as a demonstrated result.
