Muliki Sirini’s PRATHIDHWANI project makes a case for treating product-team memory as a practical problem: teams may have customer feedback, release notes and meeting discussions, yet still lose the reasoning that connects them. In the author’s account, PRATHIDHWANI uses Hindsight as a persistent memory layer to link feedback, product changes and outcomes so that past context can inform later decisions. It is a project narrative, not independent evidence that memory loss is the main cause of product-team failure.
What the memory problem looks like
Sirini describes a familiar gap: a team is asked why it rejected a feature, but the answer is hard to reconstruct from scattered conversations and records. The information may still exist; what is missing is a dependable path from the original customer signal to the discussion, decision, release and result.

The workflow is most useful as a way to preserve questions that otherwise have to be reconstructed from memory. Sirini’s article raises questions such as why a feature was rejected, why a roadmap changed, whether a release solved the problem, and why customers continue to complain. In this model, those questions should lead back to the feedback, decision context and outcome rather than to an isolated dashboard metric.

For a team assessing any feedback or decision workflow, the project suggests practical criteria:
- Can it preserve the rationale behind a decision, not merely the final decision?
- Can feedback be linked to the product change intended to address it?
- Can the team revisit outcomes over time and distinguish an observed trend from a proven cause?
- Can people retrieve useful historical context when making a new decision?
- Does the workflow fit the tools and habits the team already uses?
The longer-term vision—and its limits
Sirini’s longer-term vision is to connect organizational memory with project-management, support, collaboration, meeting-transcript, analytics, feedback and roadmap systems. The point is not simply to collect more records, but to make relationships among those records available when decisions are made.
The article does not provide a comparative study, a third-party product evaluation or independent evidence that this approach improves product outcomes.
