These are reported deployment details, not a complete installation specification; WaveSave’s official product page does not state a pump specification or provide general site-engineering instructions.

That means a generic pump should not be assumed compatible, and the reported maximum height should not be treated as a design recommendation for a particular site. A project team should confirm equipment, setup, site conditions and operating procedures with the supplier and local flood-planning authorities.
Where might the barrier fit?
SLAMDAM is described for temporary flood protection and water storage. Whether it is appropriate depends on the site and the job: a barrier protecting one entrance is a different project from a long perimeter around a facility, farm or neighbourhood. The available sources do not establish universal performance limits or suitability across all water and ground conditions.

What does SLAMDAM cost, and how long does it last?
The October 6, 2026 report gives an indicative price of €1,000–€3,000 per five-metre section and reports a lifespan of more than 40 years. These are secondary-reported figures, not a current supplier quote, warranty or documented service-life protocol. Confirm current pricing, scope and lifecycle terms directly for the proposed project.
The same report says that protecting one entrance could require about 10 metres, while enclosing a facility, farm or neighbourhood could require 200–300 metres. Those examples illustrate how much the protected length can change the project scale; they are not universal layouts or cost estimates. The report also identifies upfront cost and uncertainty about who owns and deploys the barrier as adoption challenges in Kenya. It says WaveSave was considering a service or on-demand deployment model, but does not establish that such an offer is currently available.

How should SLAMDAM be compared with other portable barriers?
The October 6, 2026 report names AquaFence, MegaSecur and NOAQ Flood Protection as other mobile flood-barrier makers. It summarizes WaveSave’s positioning as emphasizing rapid emergency deployment in developing-country settings and water storage, but the sources do not provide like-for-like performance data to verify a competitive advantage or rank these products.

Because the available product information does not include a general pump specification or site-specific engineering guidance, a buyer should treat selection as a project-planning decision. Before committing, establish the required protection area and local design conditions with qualified flood-planning professionals, then request supplier guidance on configuration, filling equipment, deployment procedures, training, maintenance, storage and commercial terms. The evidence available here supports those questions, but not a universal recommendation for a particular site.
