NFHS Network’s device guide lists apps for Apple TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku, but does not list a native Samsung TV app, so direct app support on Samsung TVs is not confirmed. NFHS Network’s device guide was updated May 13, 2025.
Does NFHS Network have a Samsung TV app?
NFHS Network’s published list of third-party TV apps includes Apple TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku. It does not list Samsung Smart TV, so the guide does not establish that you can install a native NFHS Network app directly on a Samsung television. App availability can vary by TV model and software, so check your TV’s app store for the current listing; if the app is not there, use one of the supported viewing methods below.

Option 1: Use a connected Fire TV device
NFHS Network lists Amazon Fire TV as a supported app platform and describes watching on a compatible television with a connected Fire Stick. Connect a compatible Fire TV device to the Samsung TV, open its app store, and look for NFHS Network. Availability and setup can depend on the device and region.

Option 2: Stream with AirPlay
If you have an iPhone or iPad and an AirPlay-compatible Samsung TV or connected device, play the event in the NFHS Network mobile app and use AirPlay to send it to the television. NFHS Network documents this method, but compatibility is model-specific; it does not confirm AirPlay support for every Samsung TV. Check your television’s specifications or settings if it does not appear as an AirPlay destination.

Option 3: Connect a computer with HDMI
For a wired setup, open NFHS Network in a computer browser and connect the computer to the Samsung TV with an HDMI cable. Select the TV’s corresponding HDMI input, then play the event in the browser. NFHS Network identifies this as a way to show the browser window on the television.
Check that the game is available
A working TV setup does not guarantee that a particular contest is streaming. NFHS Network says schools choose which games they broadcast. Search the NFHS Network schedule for the school or event before troubleshooting your TV connection; the event may simply not be listed.
