What is Warhammer Survivors?
Warhammer Survivors adapts the survivors-like format to two Warhammer settings: Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. The official announcement describes it as a standalone game made in partnership with Auroch Digital and poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors. It is not announced as a direct sequel.

The announced play loop follows familiar genre basics: choose a character, fight hordes of enemies, gain experience, and collect weapons and power-ups. The Warhammer settings supply the grimdark backdrop; whether the finished game balances that with a lighter tone or delivers satisfying combat is something that will take playing the release to judge.

When does Warhammer Survivors come out, and what is in the demo?
Warhammer Community’s October 6, 2026 update sets the launch date for November 10, 2026. The updated demo is available on Steam and Xbox for PC, and features two announced playable characters: the Legend of Catachan and Lyssa Revenya.
The publisher also announces more than 40 playable characters and more than 70 weapons for the full game. Those are promotional content counts; they do not establish the final roster or weapon balance through independent testing.

How much will it cost, and can you preorder?
Auroch Digital’s FAQ says the price has not been announced. Warhammer Community’s October 6 update says preorders are available on select platforms, specifically naming PlayStation 5; it says Xbox Series X|S preorders begin October 27, 2026. The announcements do not establish preorder availability for every listed platform.

The clearest promise is the combination of a proven survivors-style structure with characters, enemies, and settings drawn from two Warhammer universes. The announced roster and weapon counts suggest a broad selection, but they are not a substitute for details about progression depth, performance, or how the game’s humor and grim setting work together. No hands-on gameplay assessment is established here, so those are open questions rather than settled strengths or weaknesses.
