What the Stingray does
The Stingray launches a UAV that you pilot remotely. It is single-use, so preparing one commits resources whether or not the attack succeeds. You also leave yourself vulnerable while viewing and steering the drone, which makes target selection and timing part of the decision—not just the flight.

What you need to build it
Secondary guides report that the Stingray requires Support progression and a Large Hammer, and must be placed inside a friendly FOB build area. One guide specifies Support level 8. These unlock and placement details are not confirmed in current official mechanics documentation; use the requirements shown in your game’s build interface.

Reported costs differ and are build-sensitive. The WARDOGS Game community-record guide, checked September 13, 2026, lists 91 Supply for the launcher and 900 Mechanical Supplies plus $5,000 for each UAV, while explicitly warning that these are not official fixed values. GladiatorBoost and AllThingsHow also report 900 Mechanical Supplies per UAV; AllThingsHow estimates an additional $9,000 using its stated rate of $10 per unit. That cash figure is the guide’s calculation, not an official confirmation. Check the Hammer and launcher UI for current costs before building or preparing a UAV.

Build and prepare the launcher
- Check the live requirements. Confirm your Support progression, hammer, build-area access, and available FOB resources in the current game. The reported Support level 8 requirement and Large Hammer may not apply to every build.
- Enter a friendly FOB build area. The guides describe the Stingray as placeable within a friendly FOB’s construction area.
- Select the Stingray with the appropriate hammer. Review the displayed launcher cost and placement requirements before confirming.
- Place the launcher and check Mechanical Supplies. The reported UAV cost is 900 Mechanical Supplies, but the live interface takes precedence.
- Prepare a UAV at the launcher. Guides report pressing B to prepare or buy one. Check your current key bindings and the on-screen prompt; preparation consumes resources.
Launch and control the UAV
Reported default controls are below. They may differ after a game update or if you have customized bindings, so verify them on the current Controls screen and follow any in-game prompts.

Once airborne, use the steering controls to guide the drone. Guides recommend traveling at normal speed while searching and saving boost for the approach: boost and braking use battery faster. A map marker placed before launch can help you keep your bearings. Since control mappings are version- and binding-sensitive, do not rely on the listed keys if your Controls screen shows something else.

Choose a target before you launch
Identify a worthwhile target before preparing the UAV. The operator is exposed during drone view, and the UAV’s resources are spent even if the attack misses. Community guidance favors stationary or committed armor, which is easier to anticipate than a moving target, but reported outcomes are anecdotal.

The available guides do not establish a universal one-hit kill, a current damage table, or a maximum range. Armor damage and target outcomes are not verified specifications, so treat the Stingray as an attack opportunity rather than a guaranteed kill.
