There is no established official WARDOGS ranking that names one best gun for every fight. Community lists disagree, and their results depend on factors such as range, armor, ammunition, price, unlock access, and handling. In the latest dated snapshots available here, WardogsBuild puts the FAL and Super-45 in S tier, while WardogsDB ranks the FAL and T-21 as its top assault rifles. Treat these as dated community opinions, not definitive rankings for every current match.
Which WARDOGS guns rank highest?
The clearest answer is to compare dated community snapshots rather than claim a universal winner. WardogsBuild’s ranking, updated 22 September 2026, places the FAL and Super-45 in S tier. Its visible A tier includes the Galil, M4, SVD, BMR-308, AMP-9, Mosin-Nagant, and SV98. The site describes its placements as an interpretation of the Early Access meta informed by community testing and numbers, and says the list is a snapshot (WardogsBuild).

WardogsDB offers a narrower view. Its board, observed on 8 October 2026, records 34 weapons across nine classes, but only 12 have a tier placement. Among assault rifles, it places the FAL and T-21 in S, the M4 in A, and the AK74 in B. It marks the A-91, Bushmaster M17S, Galil, and KH-2002 as “Needs data” (WardogsDB). That is a partial board, not a complete all-guns ranking.

Why the rankings differ
A weapon’s value changes with the fight being measured. Range and hit zone affect damage; armor and ammunition affect how many hits are needed; and cost or unlock stage can matter as much as peak performance for a player who cannot readily access a gun. Handling and recoil may also influence practical results, but should not be treated as comparable facts unless the testing uses a consistent method.
#1 Best Overall
One community calculator states its class-leader conditions as FMJ ammunition hitting the upper torso at 50 m against Level 2 armor. Those are that page’s assumptions, not official WARDOGS test standards. Its calculated results should not be mixed with a ranking made under different ammunition, distance, hit location, or armor assumptions (wardo.gs).
- Class and role: compare weapons intended for similar engagements before treating one as an alternative to another.
- Distance and hit zone: a close-range result does not establish which weapon performs best at long range.
- Armor and ammunition: note whether a comparison uses FMJ or AP and what armor the target wears.
- Metric: time-to-kill or shots-to-kill is useful only when calculated consistently.
- Cost and access: include price and unlock stage when ranking practical value, not just combat output.
- Build date: balance changes can make an otherwise sound comparison stale.
What the available weapon counts do—and do not—mean
The community records do not agree on a definitive roster size. WardogsDB shows 34 weapon records across nine classes, with 12 placed on its tier board. WARDOGS Companion describes 35 weapons observed across Beta 1 and captured community records, while explicitly characterizing its database as a pre-release, unofficial snapshot (WARDOGS Companion). These are counts from different community snapshots, not confirmation of the final current roster or of which items are obtainable now.
WardogsDB’s recorded roster spans assault rifles, a bow, launchers, LMGs, marksman rifles, pistols, shotguns, SMGs, and snipers. Its named entries are:

How to use a tier list when choosing a gun
- Start with your role and likely engagement range. A broad all-guns tier cannot tell you whether a weapon suits the distances and situations you actually face.
- Check the comparison conditions. Look for ammunition, target armor, hit zone, distance, and the performance measure. If those are missing or inconsistent, treat the ordering as a rough opinion.
- Account for access and economy. A high-ranked gun is not automatically the most useful choice if its price or unlock stage makes it impractical for you.
- Check when the list was updated. The game was reported as Early Access in September 2026, so balance, prices, unlock progression, and availability may change (Rock Paper Shotgun).
- Use the ranking as a shortlist, not a guarantee. Favor evidence that compares weapons under the same conditions and treat unsupported or “Needs data” entries as unresolved.
Bottom line on the WARDOGS tier list
The FAL is the most consistent high placement across the two cited community snapshots, but that does not prove it is the best gun in every role or situation. The Super-45 is S tier in WardogsBuild’s September 2026 list, while WardogsDB’s assault-rifle board highlights the T-21. With no established official universal ranking or publisher-issued weapon-stat table in these sources, the useful choice is the gun that fits your class, engagement conditions, budget, and current build—not a single uncaveated S-tier label.
