The published specifications of the vivo X300 Pro and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra differ most in their camera hardware: Xiaomi leads with a 1-inch main sensor and a telephoto lens with mechanical zoom from 75mm to 100mm, while vivo leads with a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto and a larger listed battery. Those are manufacturer figures, not test results, so they show what each phone is built with rather than which one takes better photos or lasts longer. The price difference cannot be stated as a single number from the evidence available. Xiaomi’s only dated price is a China launch price for the standard Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the vivo listing confirmed for this comparison is an India store page without a comparable price. A real price gap has to be measured in your own country, on the same date, with matching storage.
Specifications side by side
The table below uses each manufacturer’s own published values. Where a figure is not stated on the source page used for this comparison, the cell says so rather than filling the gap. Regional variants can differ, so check the specification table for the market you plan to buy in.

Camera hardware: what the published numbers do and do not tell you
Both phones are positioned around cameras, and the specification sheets describe different design choices. The comparison is useful for understanding those choices, but it does not settle image quality.

Main camera
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s main camera is the more fully specified of the two on the sources used here: a 1-inch sensor at 50MP with f/1.67 and optical image stabilization. A larger sensor generally collects more light, but how that translates into photos depends on processing, lens tuning and scene conditions. vivo’s page emphasizes its ZEISS Gimbal-Grade main camera and lists f/1.57, a wider aperture figure than Xiaomi’s. Aperture is one input among several, so the two numbers should not be ranked without side-by-side samples taken under the same conditions.
Telephoto
The two phones take different routes to telephoto reach. Xiaomi’s 200MP Leica telephoto uses mechanical movement to cover 75mm to 100mm, which is the basis for its 17.2x optical-level zoom claim. vivo’s 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto is described without a focal range on the page used here, so a focal-length comparison is not possible from vivo’s published figures alone. Both manufacturers’ telephoto numbers are marketing specifications until an independent test compares framing, sharpness and stabilization at the same subjects.
Ultra-wide
Xiaomi publishes the ultra-wide details: 50MP, 14mm-equivalent, 115-degree field of view. vivo’s global product page does not state its ultra-wide specification, so no like-for-like comparison of that lens is possible from the sources used for this article. Check the regional specification table before drawing conclusions.

Each manufacturer sells an optional photography accessory. vivo’s X300 Pro Grip Kit is described as designed for the X300 Pro. Xiaomi’s Photography Kit Pro is sold separately for the 17 Ultra. Confirm compatibility, package contents and local availability for your model before buying either kit, because accessory names and bundles vary by market.
Battery, charging, display and chipset
These four areas are the ones where the published numbers look most like a direct comparison, though they still need context.

Battery and charging
vivo lists a 6510mAh battery; Xiaomi lists 6000mAh as a typical figure. The two capacities are not measured the same way, and a battery figure does not establish how long a phone lasts. Real-world endurance depends on screen settings, network conditions, workload and software. On charging, vivo’s global page states up to 90W wired, while Xiaomi lists 90W wired and 50W wireless. vivo’s wireless figure is not stated on the page used here.
Display
vivo’s global page gives a 6.78-inch diagonal, and Xiaomi’s global FAQ gives 6.9 inches. Xiaomi’s product page adds a 2608 × 1200 resolution with a 1–120Hz refresh range. vivo’s resolution is not stated on the page used. Both diagonal figures are manufacturer-published, and the exact panel can differ by region.

The X300 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Naming the chips does not establish which is faster in daily use, and no comparable benchmark, thermal test or sustained-performance result is established for either phone in this comparison.

A price difference only means something when both phones are priced in the same country, on the same date, with the same storage. The evidence here meets none of those conditions for a full comparison.

Global launch and India listings
Xiaomi’s global FAQ gives February 28, 2026 as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s global launch date. Xiaomi India’s official specification page lists a 16GB + 512GB configuration and refers readers to the local official site for pricing and further details. vivo India’s official store lists the X300 Pro in 16GB + 512GB. Neither India source gives a price usable for this comparison.
Price basis at a glance
| Item | vivo X300 Pro | Xiaomi 17 Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Price in China | Not established | RMB 6,999 for 12GB + 512GB at launch (Xiaomi, announced December 25, 2025) |
| Price in India | Not stated on the India store listing used for this comparison; 16GB + 512GB configuration listed by vivo India | Not stated on Xiaomi India’s specification page, which points to the local official site; 16GB + 512GB configuration listed |

How to measure the price difference in your country
Work through these steps before you compare any two prices, because a mismatch in storage or date will make the gap misleading.
- Choose your country and confirm which storage configuration you want for both phones. Matching 16GB + 512GB is the cleanest comparison, since it is the only configuration both India sources list.
- Open vivo’s official store for your country and record the X300 Pro price for that configuration, along with any launch offers and their end dates.
- Open Xiaomi’s official site for your country and record the Xiaomi 17 Ultra price for the same configuration. If the official site gives a different edition or price structure, note that rather than adjusting it by estimate.
- Check the same two phones at one or two authorized retailers and record whether the price includes tax, accessories, or bank or card offers.
- Compare on one date and write down the date next to both prices. Prices change, so a figure captured months earlier may no longer apply.
- Check warranty terms for each purchase channel, because official-warranty coverage can differ between imported, grey-market and local units.
Because the sources here predate today’s prices, do not reuse the China launch figures or the February 2026 dates as buying guidance without running these checks first.
Choosing between them
If you care most about main-sensor size and a 75–100mm mechanical telephoto range, the published Xiaomi 17 Ultra specifications give more detail to weigh. If a larger listed battery, a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto and the Grip Kit matter more to you, vivo’s X300 Pro page gives you those figures. Neither set of specifications settles the question of which phone performs better, so decide on the features you will use, then confirm local price and warranty before you buy.
Only independent side-by-side photos, video, battery tests and performance tests can answer the performance questions. The manufacturer pages used here cannot.
