vivo T4 5G Review: Pros, Cons and Verdict

The vivo T4 5G stands out for battery life and its curved AMOLED display, but lacks an ultrawide camera and NFC, with reviewer concerns about mono audio and fingerprint reliability.

The India-market vivo T4 5G is a battery-first mid-range phone whose strongest attractions are its large battery and bright, curved AMOLED display. Independent reviews also describe its everyday performance positively, but its rear cameras offer only one useful focal length, and reviewers have raised concerns about speaker sound and fingerprint reliability. It makes most sense if endurance and screen quality matter more to you than camera flexibility or stereo audio.

What the vivo T4 5G offers

The T4 is an India-market phone built around a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display and a 7300mAh typical-capacity battery. vivo lists a rated battery capacity of 7170mAh, up to 90W FlashCharge, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, and Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. The screen resolution is 2392 × 1080, with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance measurements; vivo also notes that charging power varies with usage. See vivo’s specifications.

  • Memory and storage configurations: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB, with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
  • Rear cameras: 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, plus a 2MP bokeh camera.
  • Front camera: 32MP.
  • Protection: IP65 ingress protection. vivo cautions that resistance is not permanent and can diminish with wear.
  • NFC: not supported, according to vivo’s specifications.

Battery life and charging

Battery endurance is the T4’s clearest selling point, though real-world results depend on how you use the phone. Beebom reported getting two days of use consistently during its review week, with around nine hours of screen time even on its heaviest days. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a guaranteed or lab-wide result. Read Beebom’s review.

The 7300mAh typical capacity is unusually prominent in the package, and the phone supports up to 90W FlashCharge. vivo says its standard charger is supplied in the box, but maximum supported charging is not the same as a constant charging speed: actual power varies with usage. Check vivo’s charging and battery specifications.

Display and design

Reviewers praised the bright, smooth AMOLED screen and curved design. The 120Hz maximum refresh rate should make supported interactions feel fluid, while the 2392 × 1080 resolution gives the large panel a sharp specification on paper. Streaming support can vary by service: 91mobiles noted Netflix playback was limited to FHD in its test context, so do not assume every app will stream at a higher resolution simply because the display supports it. Read 91mobiles’ review.

Performance and software

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is paired with LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage. Beebom characterized performance as decent for the phone’s price positioning, which supports a cautious expectation of capable everyday use rather than a promise of sustained high-end gaming speed. The official software listing is Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15; vivo’s published information does not establish a software-update commitment, so check vivo’s current policy if update longevity is important to your purchase.

Camera strengths and limits

The 50MP main camera includes optical image stabilization, and 91mobiles found everyday photos reliable. Reviewers nevertheless reported softer detail in low-light and portrait shots, while Beebom said colors could look boosted. Treat those as review observations rather than outcomes guaranteed in every scene.

The 2MP secondary camera is for bokeh/depth, not an ultrawide. That means the T4 lacks the broader scene coverage an ultrawide lens provides; the listed cameras give you one useful rear focal length. If you frequently photograph landscapes, architecture, or large groups, compare sample images and look for a phone with an ultrawide camera before deciding.

Audio, biometrics and other compromises

Beebom criticized the mono speaker’s flat sound and reported fingerprint-scanner issues. These are reviewer observations, not proof that every unit will behave the same way, but they matter if you often listen through the loudspeaker or rely on quick biometric unlocking. The phone also lacks NFC, according to vivo’s specifications, which rules it out for readers who require NFC-based payments or other NFC functions.

Price and value in India

vivo announced these India launch prices in 2025:

Variant Launch price
8GB+128GB ₹21,999
8GB+256GB ₹23,999
12GB+256GB ₹25,999

Those are launch prices, not a reliable statement of today’s selling price. A vivo e-store listing observed in 2026 showed ₹29,999 for the 12GB+256GB Phantom Grey variant, while 91mobiles reported ₹24,999 as the lowest price on September 11, 2026. These are different dated observations, not a settled market price. Check the exact variant, seller, stock, and offer before buying. See vivo’s launch announcement; Check the vivo e-store listing; See 91mobiles’ price page.

Who should buy the vivo T4?

  • Consider it if long battery life and a large, bright display are your priorities, and the current price for your preferred storage variant is competitive.
  • Compare alternatives first if you want an ultrawide camera, more flexible photography, stereo speakers, or NFC.
  • Check in person if possible if curved-screen handling or fingerprint unlocking is especially important to you; reviewers’ experiences are useful signals, but not a guarantee about your individual unit.

When comparing phones, weigh battery endurance, screen size and curvature, camera focal-length options, speaker setup, biometric experience, NFC, storage configuration, and the live price together. The T4’s appeal depends on whether its battery-and-display strengths outweigh the features it leaves out for you.
