The closest matching interview, published by Tom’s Guide on April 15, 2026, is with Emily Wang, VITURE’s CMO and co-founder—not its CEO. Wang described Vonder as a planned connected-lifestyle category and said major engineering and design challenges remain.
What VITURE means by moving beyond smartphones
The phrase suggests glasses could take on more of the work people now do through a phone, but the reported VITURE vision is not an imminent standalone phone replacement. In the Tom’s Guide interview, Wang described the longer-term convergence of augmented-reality displays and AI glasses as a journey rather than a single product leap. She said VITURE sees ecosystem, user base, and software foundations as part of that journey.

Wang put the design principle this way: “We believe smart glasses should feel invisible, not intrusive, and that technology should disappear into a timeless design, not the other way around.” The aspiration is everyday wearability alongside useful technology, rather than adding features at the expense of comfort or appearance.
What VITURE sells today—and what remains a roadmap
Current consumer products are display-first XR glasses
VITURE’s official US catalog presents XR glasses for gaming, productivity, and entertainment, including The Beast and the Luma family, as well as the Mobile Dock Mini accessory. These are wearable display products and related accessories; the catalog does not establish that they operate as standalone smartphone replacements.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Biggest. Boldest. Smartest. — A Viewing Experience Like Never Before】This isn't just another pair of XR glasses — it's The Beast. The BIGGEST screen in XR (174″, 58° FOV). The BOLDEST display ever (1250 nits, Powerd by Latest Sony Micro-OLED). And the SMARTEST glasses on the planet — Your Screen, You Rules. Built-in 3DoF, screen customizations, Auto Transparency, and Smart Re-Centering that just work. No software needed. One glance and you'll never go back.
- 【SMARTEST: YOUR SCREEN, YOU RULES — No Software Needed】 Your Screen. You Rules! Built-in VisionPair 3DoF lets you pin, resize, and lock a 174″ screen in mid-air — no software, no dongles, no drift. Full screen customizations built right into the glasses: Anchor, Smooth Follow, 32:9 UltraWide, Side Mode. Auto Transparency switches between immersion and the real world with one tap. Smart Re-Centering snaps your view back instantly.
- 【BIGGEST: THE ULTIMATE IMMERSIVE GIANT — 174″ Screen, 58° FOV, 1200p】The largest virtual display in consumer XR. Period. A 174″ screen powered by Sony's latest-generation Micro-OLED panel pushes 1200p per eye at a class-leading 58° field of view with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Every frame is edge-to-edge sharp, silky-smooth, and jaw-droppingly vivid. It's like strapping an IMAX to your face.
- 【SMARTEST: 9-LEVEL DIMMING + AUTO TRANSPARENCY — No Software Needed】 Another reason The Beast is the smartest XR glasses ever made. One tap shifts between crystal-clear AR and full cinematic blackout across 9+ electrochromic levels — no app, no software, just hardware intelligence. Auto Transparency adapts between immersion and awareness on its own. Bright office, dim plane, pitch-dark bedroom — The Beast reads the moment for you. No glare. No reflections. Just pure immersion.
- 【BOLDEST: NEXT-LEVEL CLARITY & AUDIO — 1250 Nits + HARMAN AudioEFX】1250 nits of peak brightness — over 2× brighter than the competition — means you can actually see your screen outdoors, in sunlight, no squinting required. Pair that with HARMAN AudioEFX: deeper bass, wider soundstage, and crystal-clear highs tuned by the world's leading audio engineers. Other XR glasses make you choose between picture and sound. The Beast gives you both — cranked to eleven.
That distinction matters: a glasses display can make a phone, handheld, or other host device more useful without replacing its computing, connectivity, or app functions. The catalog’s product categories support the display-first description, but do not establish that every model works with every host device or use case.
Vonder was described as a planned category
In the April 15, 2026 interview, Wang characterized Vonder as VITURE’s planned “connected lifestyle” category. Tom’s Guide reported a Q4 2026 launch target. That was a company plan reported at that time, not confirmation that Vonder launched or that an all-in-one product is available.
Display and AI features are prospective
A June 11, 2026 Android Central interview with VITURE Optical Lead Dr. Deqing Kong discussed higher-resolution and brighter displays, 10-bit HDR output, and a custom chip targeted for 2027. These are reported roadmap items, not features established as shipping in current products.

Helix targets enterprise safety workflows
VITURE’s Helix announcement describes an enterprise AI safety-glasses direction developed with NVIDIA’s XR AI solution. The company says ANSI Z87.1-2025 certification is in progress, expects shipping in Q1 2027, and gives a starting price of $599 USD. Those are prospective company statements, not evidence of present general availability or completed certification.
Why combining AR displays and AI is difficult
Glasses have little room for the display, compute, power, and cooling components that phones can spread across a larger body. Wang named the central tradeoffs: optical efficiency in a lightweight frame, field of view, brightness, power demand, thermal management, battery life, comfort, and a design people will choose to wear daily. Improving one dimension can put pressure on another: brighter or more capable displays can increase power and heat, while adding hardware can affect weight and fit.
Wang summarized the challenge as “Optical efficiency in a lightweight frame, thermal management, battery life,” alongside designing glasses people actually want to wear every day. Her point was not that these problems have been solved, but that they shape the path toward combining AR and AI capabilities.

For the full SpaceWalker experience on iOS, pair it with the USB-C XR Charging Adapter Ultra(Launching Soon) to enable features such as 3DoF head tracking and multi-screen functionality. iPhone 16e and iPhone 17 Air are not compatible with VITURE XR Glasses. Older adapters, including the standard USB-C XR Charging Adapter and HDMI XR Adapter, do not support Luma Ultra.
How to judge the different smart-glasses approaches
“Smart glasses” covers products with different priorities. These are useful distinctions when assessing claims about phones giving way to glasses:
| Dimension | Display-first XR glasses | AI- or camera-first glasses |
|---|---|---|
| Primary role | Put visual content in the wearer’s view for uses such as gaming, productivity, and entertainment. | Center on AI-assisted or camera-related functions; the cited material does not specify a particular consumer model. |
| Phone relationship | VITURE’s catalog does not establish that its glasses are standalone phone replacements. | Standalone capability varies by product; the cited sources do not establish it for a particular model. |
| Main tradeoff | Display immersion and field of view must be balanced against brightness, power, heat, comfort, and battery constraints. | Everyday comfort and unobtrusive design remain important to the broader category, but no quantified comparison is established here. |
| Use context | VITURE identifies gaming, productivity, and entertainment as consumer uses. | VITURE’s announced Helix direction is for enterprise AI safety workflows, not a general consumer product currently on sale. |
The table describes category-level distinctions grounded in VITURE’s product descriptions and reported comments, not a ranking of which approach is best. The right choice depends on whether a wearer needs a private display, hands-free assistance, or a specialized work tool.
What the smartphone transition claim does—and does not—show
The exact source implied by the headline “Viture CEO Sees Smart Glasses Moving Beyond Smartphones” could not be verified from the available material. The closest match is the Tom’s Guide conversation with Wang, whose title and role are CMO and co-founder. The “moving beyond smartphones” wording was not found verbatim in that interview, so it is best read as headline framing rather than a direct quotation or confirmed company announcement.
There is also no independently verified market-share or shipment figure in the cited material to show that smart glasses are already displacing phones. VITURE’s Helix announcement repeats rankings attributed to IDC, but the underlying IDC tracker report was not located; no precise market statistic should be inferred from that announcement alone.
