VisionQuest premieres exclusively on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. Ultron is confirmed as part of Vision’s conflict; Paladin, Raza and Jocasta are reported threats, but Marvel has not officially identified all four as villains.
Who are the four figures being described as VisionQuest’s villains?
The four names associated with the trailer are Ultron, Paladin, Raza and Jocasta. That “four villains” label needs a qualification: Disney’s official synopsis confirms Ultron’s role in the story, while the other three are identified as opposing figures in entertainment coverage. Their exact roles—and whether each should be called a villain—have not been confirmed in Disney’s synopsis.

| Character | What is established | Evidence and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Ultron | An AI persona embedded in Vision’s programming, whose influence Vision must resist. James Spader is in the official cast. | Confirmed by Disney’s official synopsis and cast information. |
| Paladin | Reported as a bounty hunter pursuing Vision. | Identified in secondary entertainment coverage; Disney’s synopsis does not name him or confirm his precise role. |
| Raza | Reported as the returning Iron Man character, played by Faran Tahir. | Reported by secondary entertainment coverage; not named in Disney’s synopsis. |
| Jocasta | Reported as a character played by T’Nia Miller. | Reported by secondary entertainment coverage; her exact role and whether she is a villain are not confirmed by Disney’s synopsis. |
So the most accurate reading is one officially confirmed central antagonist or influence—Ultron—alongside three reported threats whose status is less certain. A trailer-associated character can oppose Vision without necessarily being a confirmed villain.
What does the official trailer confirm about the story?
Marvel’s official trailer listing describes VisionQuest as arriving October 14, only on Disney+. Disney’s synopsis says Vision has been rebooted and escaped from people seeking to weaponize him. In hiding and looking for purpose, he consults AI personas built into his programming, including Friday, Edith, Jarvis and Ultron.

Vision’s quiet existence ends when a bounty forces him to flee with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be his son, reincarnated. The story is framed around Vision confronting his own nature, resisting Ultron’s influence and trying to understand Thomas. The synopsis does not establish who placed the bounty or spell out how each reported threat fits into the chase.
Is this White Vision returning after WandaVision?
Yes. Paul Bettany returns as Vision in the rebooted form described in the series synopsis, commonly referred to as White Vision after WandaVision. The setup picks up with a Vision who has escaped weaponization and is trying to find meaning, rather than simply presenting the familiar pre-reboot version as though nothing changed.
