What VFat automates—and what its fee figures mean
VFat’s documentation describes three functions: automatic harvesting of rewards, automatic compounding, and automatic rebalancing. Automation is enabled by chain, and the documentation says the automation contract must be enabled on the relevant chain before it can call functions for a Sickle.
Auto-Compound
VFat says its compound frequency is selected using a simulation that considers position size, APR, and gas cost. The setup is position-level. The documentation lists a fee of 1.8% of rewards, not 1.8% of the full position value. See VFat’s Automatic Compound documentation for the provider’s description and check it for current terms.

Auto-Harvest
VFat’s documentation lists a 1.2% fee on rewards and says automatic harvesting currently triggers once rewards exceed the equivalent of $50. It also describes an option to convert rewards to a selected token. Auto-Harvest and Auto-Compound cannot both be enabled for the same position, according to VFat’s Automatic Harvest documentation. The threshold, fee, and available settings can change.
Auto-Rebalance
VFat lists Auto-Rebalance as an automation function, but the cited overview does not provide enough detail to compare its rebalance mechanics directly with MaxFi’s advertised zero-swap approach. Do not infer from the feature name alone how a position is adjusted, what transactions it uses, or what costs apply.

Krystal’s vault model is a different unit of automation
Krystal describes a Liquidity Vault as a smart-contract portfolio manager for multiple LP assets. Its documentation says vaults can automate strategies, collect fees, rebalance, and exit positions; it also describes optional external deposits in exchange for vault shares. It distinguishes Auto-Farm Vaults from Shared Vaults.
This is a portfolio or vault-level description, unlike the position-specific VFat settings documented for harvest and compound. It is not evidence that every Krystal product is a vault, that every vault supports the same assets, or that any given pool is currently available. The cited page does not supply a complete fee schedule. Check the documentation for the specific vault and product at Krystal’s Liquidity Vault page.

What “zero-swap rebalancing” does—and does not—tell you
MaxFi’s learning material describes its rebalance approach as zero-swap and lists a 15% fee on earnings. Its product page advertises support across Robinhood Chain, Base, and Arbitrum and describes a 15% fee on LP trading fees earned. These are MaxFi’s own statements, not independently validated comparative results.
The two fee descriptions use different wording, so do not assume they establish identical fee bases or settle how a charge is calculated. Ask MaxFi to confirm what counts as earnings, when the fee is charged, and whether any other transaction or protocol costs apply. A zero-swap rebalance description does not mean a position is risk-free, guarantee lower losses, or establish a particular return. Details are in MaxFi’s learning page and product page.

How to compare fees without confusing the fee bases
The stated percentages are not directly comparable: VFat’s cited figures are percentages of rewards, while MaxFi describes a percentage of earnings or LP trading fees earned. Krystal’s cited vault page does not state a complete schedule. None of these figures alone represents the total cost of operating a position.

- Ask which network and pool the terms apply to, and whether transaction costs are separate.
- Verify that the displayed terms are current for the exact product and position you intend to use.
For VFat, the documentation distinguishes harvest and compound fees and makes those two automation modes mutually exclusive per position. For MaxFi, obtain clarification on the difference between the learning page’s “earnings” wording and the product page’s “LP trading fees earned” wording. Do not fill in Krystal’s missing schedule by assuming that another provider’s fee structure applies.

Risk: automation changes operations, not LP exposure
Concentrated-liquidity positions remain exposed to market and position-management risks. Trading activity affects the fees a position earns, and a concentrated position can move out of range. Automation may perform selected actions according to a provider’s strategy, but it does not guarantee trading-fee income, protect capital, or eliminate the risk of loss. MaxFi’s own educational material discusses liquidity provision at its liquidity-providing guide; its marketing claims should not be treated as independent proof of safety or superior results.
Before authorizing a contract or depositing assets, understand which contract can act, what permissions it receives, how to pause or exit the strategy, and what happens if automation is unavailable or a transaction fails. The cited materials do not establish a complete, comparable permission and failure-handling model across all three providers, so verify those details for the exact product you plan to use.
Which model fits the way you want to manage LP positions?
- Consider VFat’s documented model if you want individual-position controls for harvesting or compounding, and its listed rebalance function is relevant to your strategy. Check the chain-enablement requirement and the current position-level terms.
- Consider Krystal’s vault structure if managing multiple LP assets through a vault is the model you are evaluating. Confirm the specific vault type, asset and pool support, operating rules, and complete fees.
- Evaluate MaxFi’s stated approach if zero-swap rebalancing is a feature you specifically want to investigate. Confirm how the method works for your position, what its fee applies to, and whether your network and pool are supported.
