If Versionista alerts are missing, first check whether you expected a scheduled summary or an instant alert: summaries are controlled in Account Settings, while instant alerts must be enabled for each monitored page. Then check recipients and report filters, and use Versionista’s email history to see whether it recorded sending the message.
First, identify which Versionista email you expected
Versionista has two kinds of change notifications: summary emails and instant alerts. They have different schedules and settings, so diagnose the type you expected before changing anything. Versionista’s email-alert guide describes both.

- Summary email: A scheduled report aggregating detected changes across monitored pages. It is daily by default, but Versionista does not send a summary for a period with no detected changes unless the account is configured to send empty summaries.
- Instant alert: An email intended to report a detected change, with changed content in the message body. It is off by default and must be enabled for each monitored page.
A quiet inbox therefore does not necessarily mean email delivery failed: there may have been no change to report, or the relevant alert may not be enabled.
Fix a missing summary email
- Open Account Settings in Versionista and review the summary preferences. Confirm the report frequency is what you expect; daily is the default, but the schedule may have been changed.
- Check the no-change setting. If no pages changed during the reporting period, Versionista normally does not send a summary. Enable the option to send summaries when there were no changes if you want an email for quiet periods too.
- Review newly discovered pages. The summary settings also control whether newly found pages are listed. Discovery of a new URL and monitoring it for later changes are distinct events; consult Versionista’s new-page alert tutorial if the missing notice concerns newly found URLs.
- Check recipients and report scope. Confirm the intended address is included and that account-level report settings do not exclude the relevant site folder or page category. Added users generally receive the main account’s summaries by default, but account configuration can narrow what they receive.
Summary links lead to comparison views. Versionista’s guide says those links are temporarily public for one week, so treat them accordingly when forwarding or sharing a report.
#1 Best Overall
- THREAT DETECTION – Stay one step ahead. Suspicious links, risky sites, viruses, and scams, caught automatically before they reach you.
- PERSONAL INFO PROTECTION – Keep your personal info safer. Identity monitoring watches for your exposed info and tells you what to do about it.
- SECURE CONNECTIONS – Just a few easy clicks, and we'll automatically protect your info on public Wi‑Fi, every time you connect.
- GUIDED ACTION – Know what matters and what to do next. Clear alerts and simple guidance make it easy to take action.
- MORE THAN ANTIVIRUS – Scam protection, identity monitoring, VPN, web protection, and antivirus work together to protect you, all in one place.
Fix a missing instant alert
- Open the monitored page in Versionista.
- Go to that page’s Crawl area and inspect its instant-alert setting.
- Enable instant alerts for that page if they are off. This is a page-level control, not a single account-wide switch.
- In Account Settings, review what the alert email includes: text changes, text and HTML changes, or filtered changes.
- Check that the intended recipient is configured to receive the report and is not excluded by site-folder or page-category filters.
Because instant alerts are off by default, checking the account’s summary schedule alone will not enable them.
Check Versionista’s email history
Account Settings includes a link to the history of emails Versionista says it has sent. Look there for the expected message:

- ALL-IN-ONE SCAM DETECTION – Texts, emails, videos, and QR codes all get checked automatically. Sorting real from fake stops being your job.
- KEEP SCAMMERS OUT OF YOUR WALLET – Every click is no longer a gamble. Our scam detection spots suspicious texts, email scams, SMS phishing, and fake alerts before you click.
- QR CODE SCANNING – Point the app at any code and see where it actually leads before you scan it.
- DEEPFAKE DETECTION – When a video sounds like someone you know but isn't, you hear it from us first.
- ON-DEMAND CHECKS – Got a message you're unsure about? Run it through the app and know in seconds, wherever it came from.
- If it is not listed: The message may not have been generated. Recheck the summary schedule and no-change preference, or the affected page’s instant-alert setting, then verify recipient and report filters.
- If it is listed: Versionista recorded sending it, but that history does not prove the message reached the recipient’s inbox. Continue with mailbox-delivery checks.
If Versionista recorded the email but you cannot find it
Check the recipient mailbox’s spam or junk folder, quarantine, forwarding rules, and filters. If the account belongs to an organization, an administrator may be able to check mail-security quarantine or routing rules.

Does the Versionista-to-Fluxguard transition affect existing alerts?
Versionista’s homepage says it is now part of the Fluxguard family, new accounts are available through Fluxguard, and existing Versionista accounts remain supported with no changes required. It does not say existing users must migrate to fix missing alerts; troubleshoot the account’s settings and email history first.
