Valve says Steam Frame customers can now check their signed-in product page to see whether their order email is expected by December 2026 or in 2027. That is an estimate for when the email arrives—not a delivery date—and the status shown on your own account is the relevant one.
When will my Steam Frame order email arrive?
Sign in to Steam and check the Steam Frame product page. Valve’s October 9, 2026 Steam Hardware announcement says the page will show whether your order email is expected by December 2026 or in 2027. Valve put it this way: “Once there, you’ll see confirmation that you’ll receive your order email either by December, or in 2027.”

The estimate is account-specific. The public announcement does not identify which category applies to any individual, and another customer’s status or queue anecdote cannot establish yours. Valve also says it is working through reservation queues and will notify customers if spots open. Estimates and stock can change, so the update does not guarantee an individual date.
What does my Steam Frame reservation mean?
A reservation is not a completed order. Valve’s Steam Frame product page FAQ says a reservation holds a unit for you until Valve sends an email inviting you to purchase it. Once that email arrives, you have 72 hours to complete the purchase. If you do not, Valve cancels the reservation and moves to the next person.

Does being on the waitlist mean I’ll get to order?
A waitlist position means you were outside the number of units available to reserve when Valve randomized signup order. Cancellations may move customers up, and Valve says future production runs will be offered in waitlist order. The October 9 update does not promise a calendar date for any particular waitlisted customer.
How Valve organized the reservation queues
Valve says signup order was randomized once signups closed. Separate queues were maintained for each storage model and for North America, the UK/EU, and Australia. Eligibility required a Steam account in good standing, a Steam purchase made before April 27, 2026, and one signup per household, according to the product page FAQ.

Customers cannot change models after randomization without canceling their reservation or waitlist spot. The 256GB and 1TB models therefore have distinct queues; changing models does not preserve a place in line.
