Official gameplay descriptions combine first-person melee and ranged fighting with supernatural abilities. The combat toolkit includes stamina-based light and heavy attacks, parries, counterattacks, dashes, and finishers. Publisher-named weapons include a rapier, pistol, claymore, and musket, pairing Napoleonic-era arms with the game’s supernatural elements.

Weapons and Transmutations
Transmutations are powers used in the left hand. The publisher has identified Fire, Shield, and Grapple as examples. Together, weapons and powers are intended to let players vary how they approach encounters, but the available announcements do not establish a complete weapon or ability list.
Lanterns, Catalysts, and Ambers
Lanterns are the points where Catalysts can be spent to improve attributes such as health, stamina, and parry. Ambers customize a character build. The publisher also describes environmental secrets and Metroidvania-style exploration, suggesting that exploring areas is part of progression rather than simply moving from one fight to the next. These are developer and publisher descriptions, not independent hands-on findings.

The developer says it incorporated demo feedback into combat, level design, and boss fights. It also cautioned that the demo’s recreated sections of Chapters I and VII were not representative of the final version’s balance and polish. At the time of the announcement information summarized here, that launch was still in the future. Scheduled platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with day-one Xbox Game Pass access announced. No other platform versions are established by the cited announcements.
The PlayStation listing specifies offline play for one player and support for DualSense vibration and trigger effects. Those details apply to the PS5 version; the listing does not establish equivalent features on other platforms.

These are the publisher’s announced prices, not a guarantee of current pricing in every store or region. The Deluxe Edition’s DLC and cosmetics are future content plans announced before launch, not confirmation that those items are already available. The publisher’s launch announcement also says New Game+ is planned for Q4 2026. It is intended to carry player progression and loot into a harder second campaign; availability remains subject to that announced schedule.
How long is the story?
One More Level described the campaign as a “20-hour story” in a September 17, 2026 developer announcement. That is the developer’s characterization, not an independently measured average playtime.
