That does not prove Urlbox wins in a real-world head-to-head test—or that FireShot captures less. There is also a category difference: FireShot is a Chrome extension; Urlbox is a screenshot API and service.
What each tool is—and why the distinction matters
FireShot: capture from Chrome
FireShot’s Chrome Web Store listing describes an extension for capturing webpages, including long articles and documentation, then saving, editing, exporting, or sharing them. It lists workflows involving PDF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, and other formats. The listing’s user-count and rating figures are live store data, not evidence of how tall a page it can capture.

Urlbox: capture through an API
Urlbox converts URLs or HTML into screenshots and other outputs through render options. It is not a like-for-like Chrome extension alternative: it suits automated or developer-controlled capture rather than a manual browser-toolbar workflow.

What is actually documented about maximum height?

So, if “longer” means the strongest published numeric specification, Urlbox has the clearer claim. If it means which product succeeds on a particular very tall, dynamic webpage, the available specifications do not settle the question. A controlled test on the same pages and settings would be needed.

How capture behavior affects very long pages
Urlbox’s stitch and native methods
Urlbox documents two full-page approaches. Its default stitch mode scrolls through the page, can trigger lazy-loaded content, handles sticky elements, captures sections, and stitches them together. Its native mode is faster, but Urlbox says it can be less accurate on some sites. See the Urlbox screenshot documentation.
Lazy loading and infinite feeds
Some pages load images or other content only as the visitor scrolls. Urlbox’s initial scroll pass can help trigger that content; the skip_scroll option disables the pass and may shorten rendering time, but can leave some content unloaded. Infinite-scroll pages have no natural end: Urlbox stops infinite-scroll capture by default, and its guide says detected pages default to a maximum of three sections. The allow_infinite option changes that behavior, so use a finite cap where possible to avoid an unbounded capture. Details are in the render options and screenshots guide.
Output format and dimensions
The output file format can impose its own dimension constraints even when the capture service can render a tall page. Urlbox documents maximum dimensions of 65,535 by 65,535 pixels for JPEG and 16,383 by 16,383 pixels for WebP, and recommends PNG for full-page captures because its documentation gives PNG no corresponding dimension limit. A height specification and an image format’s dimensions are separate constraints; select the output format with the final image’s dimensions in mind. Urlbox’s guide explains the format behavior.

Cost also depends on the workflow and volume. Urlbox uses credits, and its documentation says very long pages may use more credits on bulk-capture plans; check its current bulk pricing for applicable quotas and charges. FireShot offers paid Pro features, but the reviewed material does not establish a verified, directly comparable price. Its purchase page is the place to check current terms.
