For context, UPPAbaby lists the Vista V2 main seat for children from 3 months to 50 lb. Its bassinet limit is 20 lb or until the child can push up on hands and knees, whichever comes first. These are manufacturer specifications, not a reason to use a component beyond its own instructions.
How does the second seat work?
UPPAbaby says the RumbleSeat V2 can face forward or toward the parent and has multiple recline positions, an adjustable five-point harness, an expandable UPF 50+ canopy, a bumper bar and a mosquito net. - Check both children’s limits: follow the age, weight and height limits for each seat or other component in the chosen setup.

Safety steps for tandem use
The retrieved RumbleSeat manual gives several specific instructions for double mode. Follow the manual supplied for your model and region; never use a diagram alone in place of written safety limits.
- Engage the brake before loading or unloading, and whenever the stroller is parked.
- Load the child in the upper seat before placing a child in the lower seat. Do not use the lower seat without a child in the upper seat.
- Secure each child with the harness. Keep children clear of moving parts while adjusting the stroller or seat.
- Do not leave children unattended, and do not use the RumbleSeat for unsupervised sleep.
Warranty note for US and Canadian owners
The US/Canada Vista V2 manual states a two-year limited warranty. It describes a one-year extension, for a total of three years, for qualifying products registered within three months of purchase with proof of purchase from an authorized retailer. The manual says warranty terms vary by country and cover the original retail purchaser, so check the terms that apply where you bought the stroller.
