The original NUVO supports single, double and twin arrangements, as well as certain capsule combinations. That flexibility is conditional: Redsbaby’s NUVO Double Mode Product Guide restricts use to the configurations shown in the guide and says the frame is compatible only with NUVO seats and bassinets. Do not assume that every combination of seats, bassinets and capsules is approved.

For newborn use, Redsbaby says to use a compatible bassinet or a compatible capsule with its dedicated adaptor. Capsule compatibility depends on the exact capsule connection and the correct NUVO adaptor; the product page names Britax and capsules using a Maxi-Cosi connection point. There is a published difference in seat limits: the product page gives a 22 kg maximum for a single seat, while the double-mode guide gives 20 kg for the upper seat and 17 kg for the lower seat. CHOICE’s public listing also reports different values among its specifications, box and seat information. Use the limit for the actual configuration in the manual that applies to your pram; do not carry a single-seat limit over to a double setup.
CHOICE lists dimensions of 125 × 61 × 136 cm and a weight of 17.1 kg. Those figures do not describe the same measurement scope as Redsbaby’s chassis weight or folded-with-seat dimensions, so they cannot be compared directly. Measure your storage space and vehicle boot against the configuration you intend to fold and transport.

What the evidence says about everyday use
The available public evidence does not support a hands-on performance verdict. CHOICE’s public NUVO Platinum entry provides specifications, but its expert rating, ease-of-use and performance scores, and safety and durability test outcomes are behind member access. Its public listing therefore does not establish that the pram passed, failed or was recommended in those tests.
Individual posts in a public Australian parent discussion mention positive impressions of folding, storage and handling. A twin user also described restricted recline choices in some two-seat orientations. These are personal, self-selected accounts, not representative testing; they can help identify questions to check in person, but they do not establish typical performance.

- Apply the brakes whenever the pram is stationary, secure each child with the harness and keep children attended.
- In double mode, place and secure the primary child in the upper seat or capsule before placing the second child in the lower seat, bassinet or capsule.
- Do not exceed the load limits for the relevant seat, basket or approved Buggyboard. Slopes, uneven surfaces, overloading and incorrect use can affect stability.
- Do not leave a child unattended with the rain cover fitted.
- Do not use the bassinet for unsupervised sleeping, or once the child can sit up unaided.
For upkeep, regularly check locks, brakes, harnesses and fixings. The guide recommends light lubrication of moving parts, sponge-cleaning with warm water and mild detergent, and air-drying before storage. Avoid putting the pram away damp or wet, avoid alcohol-containing products on leatherette, and rinse salt water from frame parts.

Who should consider a remaining-stock or used NUVO?
The NUVO Platinum may suit a buyer who wants the original model’s single-to-double format and has verified the exact approved setup, parts and fit for their children. Because the model is discontinued, inspect what is actually included and whether the specific configuration meets your needs before paying. For used prams, check the frame, locks, brakes, harnesses and fixings, and confirm that the manual and accessories correspond to the original NUVO.
