Bluehost customers upgrade through the site’s Backups page; Network Solutions customers use Security > Website Backups. The steps, eligibility rules and provisioning times differ, so follow only the instructions for your provider.
Upgrade Xcitium Backup through Bluehost
- Sign in to the Bluehost Portal.
- Open Websites, then select Manage Site for the website protected by Xcitium Backup.
- Open Backups. Choose Manage on the Xcitium backup card to review storage usage, total allocation, backup history and protection status.
- On the Xcitium backup card, click Upgrade, choose an available plan and click Buy Now.
Bluehost says that after a successful upgrade, additional storage becomes available, scheduled backups can resume automatically, existing settings remain unchanged and no website changes are required. Existing backups remain intact. Bluehost says most upgrades apply within minutes, though you should check the portal for your account’s status.

Upgrade Xcitium Backup through Network Solutions
- Sign in to your Network Solutions account.
- Choose Security, then open Website Backups.
- Beside the website, choose Upgrade Available.
- Select a plan, confirm the payment method and click UPGRADE NOW.
Network Solutions says the order generates an invoice by email and provisioning may take up to 24 hours. Its documented workflow applies to Xcitium and CodeGuard customers who renewed on or after May 15, 2026. Xcitium Backup becomes available in the account seven days before renewal; the provider says early renewals before that window will not be processed.
Bluehost plan capacities and listed prices
The following are the plan details and monthly prices listed by Bluehost in its guide updated August 26, 2026. They are Bluehost-specific, not universal Xcitium prices; Bluehost says availability and pricing can change, so confirm the current options and amount in your portal.

Why upgrade before storage is full?
Bluehost says automatic backups stop when allocated Xcitium Backup storage reaches 100%. Website changes made after backups stop will not be backed up, which can leave recent work unavailable for recovery if a problem occurs. Check usage in Backups and upgrade before the limit is reached if you need continued scheduled backups.
If there is no Upgrade option or storage is already full
Check your provider and account eligibility
Bluehost and Network Solutions use separate account workflows. If you are with Network Solutions, first check whether your renewal falls within the documented eligibility window; this transition rule does not apply to Bluehost accounts.

If you are already on Bluehost Pro+
Bluehost’s guide lists Pro+ at 25 GB as its highest tier and says a higher self-service plan may not be available. Review your backups and remove outdated ones you no longer need, or contact Bluehost support if you require more capacity. Do not assume another tier is available unless your account or support confirms it.
