If Palworld crashes during the Panthalus fight, disconnects everyone on a dedicated server, or hangs after the World Tree boss, first check that the game—and, for multiplayer, the dedicated server—has the relevant update. Pocketpair listed fixes for these specific problems in v1.0.2 and v1.0.2.101103. The notes do not establish that every later crash or loading failure has the same cause.
Match the symptom to the announced fix

These are distinct behaviors, not one general “World Tree crash.” Pocketpair’s v1.0.2 announcement identifies the Panthalus and multiplayer terrain cases; its v1.0.2.101103 announcement describes the post-boss loading fix.

Update the game and server build
- Check Palworld’s installed version. Use the update or version information available in your platform’s game library or launcher. Confirm that the installed build includes the relevant fix: v1.0.2 for the Panthalus and terrain issues, or v1.0.2.101103 for the post-boss loading issue.
- If you play on a dedicated server, ask its operator to check the server build too. The Panthalus crash and mass-disconnect fixes are explicitly described for dedicated servers. The notes do not say that updating only the client resolves a server-side mismatch.
- Retry the exact action that triggered the problem. Note whether one player crashes, everyone disconnects, terrain is missing from the host’s view during the transition, or loading stalls after the boss is defeated.
The announcements confirm Pocketpair’s fixes, but do not specify your installed version, platform rollout timing, or server configuration. If your platform does not show the cited version, check its update status and ask the server operator which build is running rather than assuming the update is available everywhere at the same time.
If the problem continues after updating
The patch notes do not establish a universal cause or a hardware remedy. They also do not recommend graphics changes, replacement parts, utilities, or server-setting changes for these named issues. Avoid treating a still-occurring failure as proof of a hardware fault—or as proof that the original bug remains unchanged.

For a useful report to the server operator or support channel, record:
- Your platform and installed Palworld version.
- Whether you are playing solo, hosting, or joining a dedicated server; for a server issue, include the server build if known.
- The precise point of failure: during the Panthalus battle, while the host enters The World Tree with another player already there, or after defeating the World Tree boss.
- Whether the failure affects one player or everyone, and whether it reproduces after confirming the relevant builds are updated.
Later notes on Pocketpair’s official announcement page also mention a fix for some stuttering in The World Tree entrance cutscene and a correction to the difference between the wave effect and actual damage range for some Panthalus attacks. Those are separate targeted changes; they do not show that every remaining area or boss problem is the same bug. Pocketpair describes The World Tree as central to the story and a major challenge in its v1.0 launch notes.
