The UNA Watch is a modular GPS sports watch whose maker says its battery and display can be replaced and its components accessed with a standard tool. It also advertises dual-frequency GPS, heart-rate monitoring and up to 20 hours of GPS tracking—but those specifications are not independent proof of accuracy or endurance. Its listed IPX5 rating is for everyday exposure such as rain and splashes, not swimming.
What is the UNA Watch?
UNA Watch is a GPS sports watch designed around replaceable components. UNA describes its approach as “Refresh over replace” and says, “Every component is accessible with a standard tool.” Those are the maker’s claims, not results from an independent repairability assessment. The current product page identifies the battery and display as replaceable parts. It does not establish repair prices, long-term parts availability or a scored repairability rating. See UNA Watch’s product page for the maker’s current product and purchase information.

What features and activity modes does it offer?
UNA lists these specifications on its current product page:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors- Dual-frequency GPS
- Always-on heart-rate monitoring
- Six-axis accelerometer and barometric altimeter
- USB-C charging
- Activity modes for running, treadmill, cycling, hiking, walking and workouts that do not require GPS
- A mobile app for iOS and Android, with activity syncing to Strava
These are advertised capabilities, not evidence that every metric performs to a particular accuracy standard. The product page does not provide comparable independent test results against other sports watches.

How accurate are its GPS and heart-rate readings?
Accuracy is not established by the listed sensor or positioning specifications alone. An iTechGuides review published October 3, 2026 says the available evidence does not establish controlled, independent results for real-world route accuracy or heart-rate accuracy. The same evidence limitation applies to claiming a performance advantage over another watch. For a purchase decision that depends on precise tracking, treat the performance as unverified rather than assuming the specifications guarantee it. Read the iTechGuides review.
How long does the battery last?
UNA claims up to 10 days of everyday use and up to 20 hours of GPS tracking. These are maximum manufacturer figures; the cited material does not establish controlled independent endurance results or specify a test protocol that would make them directly comparable with another watch’s battery figures. Actual runtime can depend on settings and use, so regard the numbers as targets rather than guaranteed results. UNA Watch’s product page is the source for the current advertised figures.

Can you swim or shower with the UNA Watch?
The current product page lists IPX5 water resistance and describes use in sweat, rain, splashes and everyday showers. IPX5 is not a swimming rating, and the older Kickstarter FAQ explicitly said not to swim with or fully submerge the watch. Do not treat it as a swim watch. The FAQ’s no-swimming guidance is dated March 6, 2025; the current product page is the source for the present IPX5 claim. View the UNA Watch Kickstarter campaign.

What do the warranty and software details say?
UNA’s Kickstarter FAQ, last updated March 6, 2025, described a custom operating system based on FreeRTOS and said the watch and mobile app would not require a subscription. It listed a 24-month warranty for watches and battery accessories and six months for non-battery accessories. These are dated FAQ statements, not confirmation of current purchase terms. Check the terms in force at checkout before relying on them. The same FAQ said design and engineering took place in the UK, named Edinburgh as the office location, and described manufacturing by a partner in Malaysia; those are the company’s statements in that dated FAQ, not independently verified current manufacturing details.
