Xbox Wire’s October 2, 2026 weekly roundup marks two—not three—Xbox Game Pass titles for October 6–8: Gears of War: E-Day on October 6 and Echo Weaver on October 8. Its October 7 entries carry no Game Pass label. The roundup says release dates are subject to change, so treat these as announced dates, not a guarantee of catalog availability.
Which Xbox Game Pass games are listed for October 6–8?
Mike Nelson’s Xbox Wire weekly roundup, published October 2, 2026, covers games coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, and Game Pass. It labels two entries in the October 6–8 window “Game Pass / Xbox Play Anywhere.”

| Announced date | Title | What Xbox Wire describes | Roundup label |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 6, 2026 | Gears of War: E-Day | An origin story set 14 years before the first Gears of War, following Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde emerges. Xbox Wire mentions a campaign, multiplayer, Horde Siege, and Versus. | Game Pass / Xbox Play Anywhere |
| October 8, 2026 | Echo Weaver | A knowledge-based Metroidvania built around a time loop. Players use what they learn and time-altering anomalies to try to break the cycle. | Game Pass / Xbox Play Anywhere |

The roundup lists three games for October 7: Hidden Dogs, Titanic Escape Simulator, and Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire. None has a Game Pass label in that article. As a result, the primary source supports two Game Pass-labeled titles in this three-day window, not the headline’s claim of three.

That is a statement about how this particular roundup marks those entries; it does not establish that the October 7 games are unavailable through every Game Pass plan, in every region, or after a later catalog update. The reviewed roundup does not identify a third title for October 6–8 as a Game Pass addition.
What to know about the dates and labels
Xbox Wire’s roundup covers the week of October 5–9 and says “release dates subject to change.” The October 6 and October 8 dates are therefore the schedule announced in that October 2 article, not a promise that timing or catalog availability cannot change. The “Game Pass / Xbox Play Anywhere” label is the evidence the roundup provides; it does not specify plan eligibility or regional availability.
