Samsung calls menu narration Voice Guide. On many recent TVs, open Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Voice Guide Settings, then switch Voice Guide off. You can also hold the Smart Remote’s Volume button for about two seconds, choose Voice Guide in Accessibility Shortcuts, and turn it off. Menu paths vary by model, software version, and market.
Turn off Voice Guide in Settings
Samsung’s Hong Kong support instructions give this route for many newer models: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Voice Guide Settings. Select Voice Guide and set it to Off.

Use the Smart Remote shortcut
- Press and hold the remote’s Volume button for about two seconds to open Accessibility Shortcuts.
- Select Voice Guide.
- Switch Voice Guide off.
Samsung describes this shortcut in its Hong Kong and Colombia guidance. Availability and wording may vary with the remote and TV.
If the TV still speaks, identify what is being narrated
Menus and control changes: Voice Guide
Voice Guide reads menu options and TV actions, such as channel or volume changes, and can speak information about programs and TV functions. Samsung’s TV and Audio accessibility overview describes this feature.

Scenes during a program: Audio Description
If the speech describes visual events in a show after Voice Guide is off, it may be Audio Description, a separate audio track available when supported by the broadcast. Check Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Audio Description; the route can vary. Samsung explains the distinction in its accessibility overview.

Other voice-response features
If the TV continues speaking with Voice Guide disabled and no Audio Description track active, Samsung Hong Kong advises checking other voice-response features, including Bixby or Vision AI Companion. The controls are market- and model-specific, so consult the TV’s own settings or its model manual rather than relying on a universal menu path.

If Voice Guide keeps turning back on
Check whether the remote’s Volume button is sticking or malfunctioning. Samsung Colombia says repeated Voice Guide activation can indicate a problem with that button, which can open Accessibility Shortcuts. Consider a replacement remote only if the button is faulty, and confirm compatibility with the precise TV model before buying one.
